My partner and I were visiting London and needed to stay in Greenwich. We arrived later than planned but the staff were very accomodating and friendly. We had a double room which was comfortable and nicely decorated. Nice clean bathroom with a great shower which is rare! The location is great, only a short walk to the O2 and North...

Thank you so much for your review. Sorry about the light situation it happens sometimes. We are on a noisy road and being an old building we have no lift so its not ideal for everyone . Even though we hope we see you again Regards Angerstein hotel

Hotel is very basic and set above a pub on the Woolwich Road.adjacent to the busy A102 flyover (Blackwall Tunnel Approach). The room was clean and functional and it was reasonably priced (£90 for a double room without breakfast on a Saturday night). The O2 can be reached by taking the #129 bus from across the road from the hotel...

Good place to stay if you are using the O2 Arena and don't want to spend a fortune. Clean comfortable rooms, no food but there is a kettle with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Baz and the team are great hosts.

I stayed here with my partner last weekend because I was running the London Marathon. The staff were very accommodating and encouraging, offering a late check out so that I would collect my bags and shower after the marathon, and at no extra charge. They made what could have been a stressful visit in to an enjoyable weekend simply by...

Visited the Angerstein Hotel restaurant today for some lunch. Such a lovely place, the staff make you feel really welcome. The homemade seafood linguine was absolutely fantastic loads of seafood with a choice of chilli or a cream sauce, great value for money at only £8.00. The menu shows different specials everyday, can't wait to get back and try some...

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
