If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

We stayed for just one night at St Ermin’s Hotel near Victoria. The hotel was beautifully presented and the reception staff very welcoming. My room was generous in size and well appointed. It had USB, US and European power sockets, in addition to U.K. sockets. The bathroom

My daughter is into anything spy related and was thrilled to be staying here. We were greeted by the lovely Subarna ,who encouraged my daughter's passion by giving her the spy quiz to do. The hotel was beautiful and rooms were spotlessly clean. The bar had a great range of

Dear Clair, Have you just made my day! I'm over the moon with your "Outstanding" review! Yes we do have heaps of history here and you can find snippets all around the hotel to read and enjoy. Mr Churchill spent a lot of time here holding war meetings etc. It's great that your daughter was able to do our spy quiz, it really does get the young ones looking for clues all over the hotel and teaches them more about the history of our beautiful grade II listed building. Glad they enjoyed doing it and hope they liked their prize at the end. Subarna is such a joy to work with and a true host to our guests, I'm delighted you have mentioned her and I'm sure she will be so pleased to read your lovely review. It was our pleasure to have you stay with us and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind Regards Douglas Douglas McHugh General Manager

I'll echo what the other guy said about the breakfast at the hotel being very good. In fact, we looked forward to it each morning. The buffet is quite extensive And we found the help to be very nice as well.

There are attendants at Heathrow that will help you with ticket purchase and routing. I don't remember exactly, but when we traveled from Heathrow to the St. Ermin's the attendant recommended a different station than we had in our instructions to change from the Picadilly to the St. James line. At the station he recommended we just walked across the platform with our suitcases to take the St. James train.
