London House is not luxury, but the staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and comfortable, breakfast is ample, and it's more than convenient being just a short walk to both the Bayswater and Queensway Underground. It had a bit of a younger vibe (I stayed while I was there on business), but I think that's to be expected given...

As with everything in London, it depends why you are here and where you are going. Me and my partner were here for the marathon, so it did not necessarily matter what the location of the hotel was - provided it was fairly central. London House Hotel is situated in the western side of the city, within zone one of...

My single room was exactly as presented on the website. It was very clean and quite (4th floor). The breakfast was good and rich. Everybody very kind. Free wi-fi, very fast! The hotel is near two underground stops (one on the central line). I recommend this hotel, although wasn't very cheap for my budget, if you don't want to have...

I stayed here for four nights in april 2013, and the hotel is actually very nice. Its located close to both bayswater and queensway station, witch makes it really convenient getting around in London. The rooms are really, really small, but then again thats London in general. The rooms are modern and nice, with wifi. But the best thing about...

I first used the London House Hotel in Jan 2012 at the recommendation of a friend. Used it again this April (2013) for a few days in London at the end of a business conference in Cambridge. The rooms are clean, and a small room is a great deal for a single traveler. It's a short walk from the Bayswater...

For London, this is great value. The hotel is modern and looks more expensive than it is. We stayed in a basic twin room (at the back of the building). The room was quite small (but definitely stayed in smaller!) and had an en suite bathroom (good shower - plenty of hot water and good water pressure). It was decorated...

I spent a few nights at the London House while exploring London. The public areas were being upgraded, which was a little annoying, but I imagine that work's over. It felt modern in general, in spite of being a very old building. My room was very small -only a twin bed- but was confortable considering the price. Service was friendly....

Thank you very much for your review! I am happy to hear that you were satisfied with our hotel and that the location suited you well. We apologies for any inconvenience caused by the upgrade and work going on the public area (which we advised on our website about). I am glad to say that the upgrade is finished by...

Good value for the money. The location is great - near Queensway in Bayswater, (the only drawback is that the Bayswater tube station is on the Circle and District lines, which can be a little slow). Desk personnel were helpful, and the room was clean and functional. It is small (I had a standard double), as London hotel rooms are,...

This hotel is close to the metro station and to walk up to Notting Hill and Kensington Park. There are many restaurants, shops and exchange a few steps away. The hotel has a great breakfast and daily prices are very good.

We stayed here in April 2013 with our two children, ages 8 and 10. The location of the hotel is terrific, right near two tube stations. Lots of restaurants and small grocery stores right nearby. It was not as "cozy" as some of the hotels during our vacation as it has quite a cosmopolitan look and feel. None the less,...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
