I booked this hotel as the location was excellent to where we needed to be and the pictures on the website made the accomodation look ok. On arrival the reception was fine nothing special but then the room was just completely NOT what I expected. The decor is dingy and univiting generally but the rooms felt like I had booked...

This "hotel" is filthy, poorly presented and the service is dire. I have stayed in youth hostels with better facilities. We booked a twin ensuite room and received a double with a filthy communal bathroom on the floor below - not exactly pleasant, especially as the lock didn't work so we were terrified to use it! The staff were rude...

OK, positives first. Handy location. The shower had plentiful hot water. You are given a map which entitles you to tourist discounts, and a business guide to the area. The sheets were clean and the staff, while not bursting with enthusiasm, were pleasant enough. But...the place looks as if it's been furnished from a council skip. It's shabby, tatty, grubby,...

Tiny rooms, no service at all. Toilet not working properly and in a "closet" in the tiny room. Bad breakfast. So decided not to eat there even though we paid for it. Overpriced. Really really looked crap. Both hotel and room. It was just about getting out of there and spending as little time as possible. Only good thing is...

Smiling and welcoming staff. Otherwise crap, cramp, moisty, noisy, dirty, smelly: a XXI century disgusting version of Charles Dickens account in dodgy London. It is not a nightmare for when you wake-up (should you have been be able to fall asleep) you are actually there: it is a punishment!

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights in the worst hotel ever !! I chose this hotel because we were going on a 3 day Theatre break in London, travelling by coach and wanted to be close to the coach station. This is THE ONLY positive thing about this hotel. On arrival we were sent to another hotel,...

Holly House is, overall, an okay deal for what you pay. Starting with the cons: 1) Do NOT count on the Wifi they claim to have. In the 3 days we were there, it was working for half a day. (They were also completely unapologetic when it was down, which was almost constantly.) More importantly, the Wifi does NOT work...

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel, we weren't expecting anything special after reading the reviews but we'd left it too late to search and book anything else so thought we'd take a chance. The decor in reception wasn't inspired but we certainly didn't have to pay with cash up-front, we paid normally by card. We were then...

Holly House is part of three hotels in the neighborhood. The people who manage these hotels are very kind But the hotel (Annex hotel) is just extremely noisy and besides Victoria Station with the noise of the trains during the whole night. Its just a nightmare !!! The price is expensive. The location is excellent is you are looking something...

I stayed here because I needed a room last minute. Was happy to find something available but it's no wonder why, smarter wiser people than myself obviously knew to avoid this place. At reception I was greeted by a man who seemed to think a grunt would suffice as a hello. I'd booked a single room but when I arrived...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
