We never got to stay in this hotel, even we planned to. I send several e-mails to the hotel and asked the price for an extra bed. For several weeks they didn't answer to my messages. Finally when i got an anwer, they said we didn't even have a reservation! I wrote my fifth email, with the dates again, with... More

I have read a lot of negative things on Fitzroy before leaving home. I tell to everyone, it is not so bad. If you are a traveller, and want to be in the center of London for this price it is ok. We (a 28-30 year-old, and a 54-57 old couple from Hungary) spent in the hotel 4 nights. Breakfast... More

Good single bedroom, excelent breakfast, friendly environment. But I was in a room at the topmost floor and the bathroom is in the underground floor. The TV remote control was without battery and the wireless signal does not work in that room. Good for only one night though.

This has to be the worst "hotel" experience ever and I've done my fair share of traveling and staying in dodgy hostels. But I've never seen this. The hotel has potential (location, historical building) but it is so incredibly rundown, dirty and mismanaged it is DISGUSTING. There was a dead fly stuck to the wall on top of our bed... More

Upon arrival there was nobody in sight to greet us and we had to search the hotel for a receptionist. When we found her they had no change for us to pay, therefore we decided to pay once we had change. We then settle into our room which upon first entering seemed pleasent however the hairdryer was broken, there was... More

We were looking for a central budget hotel and ended choosing the Fitzroy - we wish we hadn't. The first thing the manager said to us on arrival was "your staying in a different hotel, we're fully booked". Despite having a confirmed reservation with them, he expected us to cover the cost of a taxi to a hotel that he'd... More

This is a very small and cheap hotel seemingly associated to the nearby hospital. It is nothing fancy, but for the price, it has a bed and inroom showers and breakfast. The staff is very kind and for a night sleep, it does the job. It's very close to Warren Street tube station.

I made the mistake of booking an overnight stay for new years eve at this hotel and as someone who has never made a public complaint before, I can honestly say that this is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. My boyfriend and I arrived for check in at around 5pm on new year's eve and was told... More

“Room 15, top floor! LOTS of stairs, but the cupboard opens into Narnia...”
  • The view of the backyard may not be thrilling, but it made for a very quiet room
  • The old beams in the ceiling gave the room a feeling of history - and also made it feel spacious
  • A double and a single bed - and still floor space! (Sorry about our mess..)
