For us it was a night away from home (Yeovil Somerset) due to officiating at a football aid match at Chelsea fc on bank holiday Friday in late May. First off the hotel is so very easy to find from Earls Court tube station around 5 to 10 mins walk if that. Next its right on the corner of Collingham...

Good location near all the museums and Kensington/Chelsea.staff were pleasant. Room was tiny and poorly maintained, leaking and broken taps and dirty shower, no spoons for drinks, eventually found tv remote under the bed! Bad nights sleep as walls so thin you hear every noise made by other guests, tiny bathroom poorly fitted out and impractical to use. Breakfast dissapointed as...

It was right at the top end of my budget and much more than the accommodation I normally book in London. You can see where the money goes, the room was beautiful. My only disappointment was breakfast, it was £25 per person. Whilst I am sure it would have been exceptional I could not bring myself to spend £25 for...

Absolutely appalling. I was travelling with two friends, one male & one female. We had specifically requested a room with 3 single beds. Upon arrival we battled our way through the rabbit warren to a tiny room with a small double bed & a single bed. When we spoke with reception regarding a triple room we were told they didn't...

After booking our Europe thrip through our travel agent Flight Centre we expected better than this back packer style accomodation. Littlest rooms ever we booked a triple back in January and we got a single bed and double bed. When we went down to complain and ask For change of the room the lady said our hotel is booked we...

Good location close to Earls Court Underground. Rooms very small but clean. Staff were friendly, at least most were. Good breakfast. Good location for pub and restaurants. I wouldn't book here again except for a good deal and 1 to 2 night stay.

The Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Free breakfast was not an English breakfast as expected with just toast and cereal. Rooms were very small and bathroom also small. There was no luggage rack to store luggage on we had to pile on top of each other. Bed was against the wall, however, the bed was very comfortable. No screens...

My main concerns when booking a hotel for a city trip are quietness, cleanliness and near public transportation. The Westbury quiet, clean and close to public transport, so all my wishes were fulfilled. The advantages: - it's a 5 minute walk from the underground station in a good neighbourhood, and the underground connects you to the center of London within...

Excellent hotel, with very friendly and helpful reception staff. Probably the best reception staff I've ever come across. I booked in to this hotel last minute after staying at a rather disgusting hotel also in Earls Court. And The Westbury Hotel was a million times better than the one I had just checked out from, although quite basic it was...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
