The cold tap did not work & the shower was broken. On top of this I had an extra personal guest come visit me for a few hours. The hotelier then expects me to pay an extra £20 for this?! On top of my own fees as the one travelling down... I don't think so. Are you telling me hotels...

We rent the room for 6 people. It was globally ok for the price we paid : i mean we could sleep, it wasn't too dirty, and it's well-located, but i wouldn't recommend that hotel. I'm sure you can find something better for the price. Be careful if you need the hotel to store your luggage (beofre check-in or after...

The room was so dirty that my partner and I actually had to leave and find another hotel. Our room was in the downstairs part of the hotel, and upon entering the air was noticeably dank and musty. Both of us felt that it was difficult to breath and my partner's allergies immediately began to act up. There was mold...

We stayed in this Hostel in January 2014 and we were very satisfied. We were on a tight budget, and we knew that we weren't staying at the Ritz, but that was okay, we just needed a clean and safe place to stay. The rooms are very basic and nothing is high quality, but it is a hostel. This place...

Pay nothing get nothing. When we arrived we saw a mouse running in the room. Everything in the room was old and dirty. Staff was unfriendly, surprisingly they cleaned our rooms though. The "hotel" was in a very good neighbourhod so that was the only advantage of staying there.

I stayed there too nights with family. Room (especially) bathroom was dirty! Bed was uncomfortable and after first night my back was hurting. Place should be hostel not hotel. There isn't elevator and stairs are high and narrow. It was difficult to carry luggage up! The only good thing at this "hotel" was the place where it is situated. But...

We arrived at this hotel and the employees took a few min to arrive. We checked in and were given a room at the top floor (level 5). I wish we would have known that we could call before to let them know to allow us to stay on lower floors. And it wasn't a penthouse and there are no...

Stayed at this "hotel" hostel spot with my family during the holidays in December of last year. Check-in was pretty smooth, however when we arrived there was nobody at the front counter (according to their description online, they have someone available 24 hours). Anyway, after about 5 minutes an employee ran in to check us in. We were charged a...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
