Situated a few hundred yards from Liverpool Street main line and underground railway stations, the Travelodge is in a quiet, safe location. There is easy access to all the main tourist attractions in the capital and is about 20 minutes by tube from all the theatres and cinemas. Breakfast is good value but as with all Travelodges, the evening food...

We enjoyed our recent stay at travelodge. It has everything you need for a weekend break....nice room and bed; lovely staff; nice breakfast and superb location...only 5 mins walk from the Liverpool st station. Very handy. the only bad points were the poor shower and the poor wifi

We only stayed for one night whilst visiting London to see a show. All the staff we saw were very friendly going out of their way to help and give a smile. The room was spotless and very comfortable, excellent value for money.

Efficient check-in with friendly, professional staff. Hotel situated in a very quiet square away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Bishopgate. Bar / restaurant area an oasis of peace and quiet on a very busy evening in the heart of the City of London.

We really enjoy our stays here. Its location so close to Liverpool street station is fabulous. Its always comfortable and warm and the staff are friendly. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that. We just love the value - 2 nights at weekend £90 ! In London ! We'll be back.

I've loved my stays here. The pillows are lovely, great working TVs, if your room has a shower it's a bonus, amenities, most comfy bed ever! Only thingbive never liked is if I'm there when the businesswomen make their way home...sounds like a herd of elephants!!! The food is also great, luckily no big bar that people can get sloshed...

Fanstastic hotel. Loved each moment. Great two nights stay on fourth floor. Originally got offered a room on sixth floor and this was too small. Asked for a larger room and was given one so just for that I'd give five stars! Breakfast food was excellent and staff were all welcoming and very polite. Hotel also kept my luggage with...

Good hotel in a convenient location within easy walking distance of Liverpool St Station. Breakfast was the only let down for this hotel as the food was all cold or at best slightly warm, coffee machine broke and there was not even a kettle or a supply of hot water so customers could get tea or instant coffee. Slight noise...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
