Location is excellent and the room was fine (typical for travelodge), clean and big enough. Wifi is £3/day and the bed was comfortable. Outside was a little noisy but it didn't seem to affect sleeping. Staff were helpful.

I have stayed in this hotel many times as it's very convenient to Liverpool St station. Booked well in advance so very reasonable price for my 4 nights. Usual get a room on 3rd or 4th floor, on left side, away from street (even numbered rooms). Room clean & comfortable. Only issues were that I had cold shower one morning,...

Yes, this is a budget hotel but compared to others in the chain that I have stayed- this one is poor. I think they need to spend some money on it. It is away from the main streets but was still noisy from rowdy passers by. The insulation of the hotel is inadequate, agin when compared to others in this...

Perfect for a base for a night in London. Easy walk from Liverpool Street station. Staff greeting on check in was friendly and very helpful. We booked two rooms and got two rooms right next to each other, which we haven't always done at other hotels and travelodges in the past, it's very handy. Room is exactly what you pay...

Not the best hotel, you get what you pay for!! But no hot water ? I would expect this no matter how much I paid !! Room average, clean enough not to complain, staff helpful and did offer 50% discount. Just a shame about the water as ruined the stay.

Stayed for a couple of nights midweek. Rooms were clean and comfortable and good value for central London. The bar is a little small but service was good and food ok. Large choice of pubs and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful, thanks. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely, comfy, quick one-night stay. Reception friendly and helpful. Location ideal - just a couple of minutes through some walkways to London Liverpool St station. Pretty quiet, too, given the central location.

We enjoyed our stay here, great location and would come back. Just don't want anyone else to make the mistake we did. Asked reception to book us a taxi this morning,, not knowing it would be a private hire company. So the journey back to kings cross which cost £15 on Friday cost us £35 today. Won't get caught out...

Great staff who went out of their way for us. Great room, great cleaners, comfy bed. Only slight issue was unpredictable temperature with the shower and the curtain couldn't stop water. Great location, would definitely come back here if the prices stay low.

This hotel has an amazing location very close to the Liverpool Street Station. It does need refurbishment already, but it's clean and comfortable. Due to its location, I always choose this hotel if I find a good price. The room (I stayed on the 6th floor) was really quiet and the bed was perfect.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
