Couldn't get into my usual hotel so stayed here. I had a single room which was very small as was the bathroom. Clean but could have done with some updating. Very odd lighting arrangement with coloured stickers on the switches! Not really sure what it was all about. Breakfast food ok, coffee was very good and hot. On my own...

Stayed with work collegues so no personal choice . Company rate of £150 included breakfast but no wifi (£10 per day for that!) . Hotel is cramped and rooms small but bathrooms even smaller and in need if a major refit (room 402) . Breakfast *charged at £18 if not included - poor .. words fail me , there are...

Stayed at The Grange Rochester for an overnight stay in London and wished we had been able to stay for longer. Excellent location, very quiet spot for central London. Really spacious room, king size bed, superb quality bed linen and towels, modern bathroom with toiletries supplied. Bathrobes and slippers also supplied at no extra cost, spotlessly clean throughout, air conditioning...

Picked for its location close to Apollo Victoria, the hotel was reasonably priced for an overnight stay, but the price for breakfast is very high at £22 per person. You can get an excellent eggs benedict and tea at Wetherspoons for £4.29 a short walk away. Room was quite large but very over stuffed with furniture. I booked a twin...

This hotel was a great value for location and lodgings and everyone was very nice and helpful. We were completely satisfied with our four-night stay at this great little hotel. Our air-conditioned room (503) was large with a new, large bathroom. There was no view to speak of but everything else made up for it. As we are walkers, the...

My mother and I stayed here for a week over Christmas 2013. I picked the place because it was considerably cheaper than anything else on offer that was not in the sticks or a dump and so I was a bit nervous, but it did not disappoint. The rooms are not very big (welcome to London!) but very nice and...

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise us, as we were not sure what to expect. We had a very warm reception and were given an upgrade to a parkview room (it was our honeymoon!). The room was a very nice, victorian style, small room - but was enough room for us as we did not spend much time in...

This was my first visit to this hotel, and from the outside, it looked just like a bar/restaurant, so it really wasn't what I was expecting. However, the staff were really helpful and I was soon in my room. Minimalist is definitely not how you could describe the room (lots of dark furniture), but everything was immaculately clean, the bed...

This was my second stay; the staff were hugely helpful and let me check in early (around 11am) so I could shower and have a quick nap before meetings. I am really grateful - it's going that extra mile that makes them stand out. On the negative, my room was really too hot - no a/c (they explained it's a...

Luxary small hotel just off quite Vincent Square at a fair walking distance from Victoria Station and S:t James Park tube station. Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
