My wife and I had a brief 3 day stay in London and wanted to squeeze as much in as we could. This hotel and the location was perfect for that. 10 min walk to Westminster abbey, parliament and Big Ben. Another 5 min to the London eye and Camden market which was great. Victoria tube stop was less than...

My husband, myself and friends stayed at this hotel for the weekend. The men were all veterans and were marching at the Poppy Day parade. The hotel was in a great place. Only 10-15 min walk to Westminster. The rooms are small, but we were upgraded to executive room, which was what I expected the double room to be. So...

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed this hotel. It isn't really near a tube station but the location is great with restaurants very near by. The hotel is simply charming. The rooms are nicely furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. Kettles are in the room with a nice selection of tea. The bathroom in our room...

The staff are lovely and very efficient but -The hotel is not easy to find from tube stations, it is quaint and in desperate need of investment. My single room was incredibly small, I had to duck in the shower to get wet and you have to close the bathroom door to sit down on the wc. I did not...

I wish I never booked a room in this hotel. A total disappointment! My room was very tiny, out of dated with old worn out furniture. The first night they put me in room 408 (stay away!) which had problems with ventilation and water pipes and as a result the noise was non-stop from pipes, even when all electricity was...

This is a good 2-3 stars hotel. Not a 4 stars worth. Good for sleeping and location. Good friendly staff. BUT extremely expensive (300 euros for 2 nights) for oldish small rooms & "very small you can barely move" bathroom which was tiny and not very clean (see cleaning issues & curiosities below). We got an "upgraded" room with 2...

I stayed with friends here recently for 2 nights. Staff were very pleasant and concierge was particularly helpful. We were upgraded to a family room, which was nice and meant that we had a double bed each! Couldn't fault the room. I was well kept, neat and tidy. Nothing to get too excited about! Breakfast was great. Plenty to eat...

Normally I wait until the end of my stay to write the review but unless something drastic happens, I am pleased to recommend the Grange Rochester. Besides, I just finished an amazing chicken soup that begged for an immediate review. Suffering with a cold in the UK weather, I ordered chicken soup to start tonight's meal. I expected a thin...

I got a great deal on this hotel. It is in a quiet area and local sights are walking distance. It's about a 15 minute walk to Big Ben in one direction and about the same amount of time to get to Buckingham Palace. Front desk were nice and I got an upgrade. Loved the quit location, but walkabilty to...

Out dated, expensive & in desperate need of refurbishment. Booked via Lastminute.com top secret hotel and was very disappointed. I booked a single room for 2 x nights for my birthday which cost £200. The room was VERY small. The window wouldn't open more than a few millimetres due to a Safety feature. Room was extremely warm. No air conditioning....

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Maybe you would like to try one of our 5 star properties with spa and gym on a future stay, or even the Grange Wellington next door to the Grange Rochester which does have a small gym.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
