When the Westfield Center is operating normally, initially head for M&S and the Underground Station. Then take the footbridge that leads to the older Stratford Shopping Centre. Walk straight through and exit by McDonalds. Newham Town Hall is across the street.
Turn left and walk alongside a church. You will soon see the Ibis Hotel and Nando's across a major road. use the crossing to get to the hotel.
If you are coming from a major event at the Olympic Stadium (such as football or athletics) you will probably be prevented from entering Westfield and herded like cattle round the side of the shopping complex. Again follow directions to public transport and you will see the footbridge mentioned above.
