I've always wanted to stay here when visiting London but it's always been a bit too much out of my price range; this London trip we decided to splurge out and book this hotel seeing as it was a special occasion we were in for. Walking in was absolutely stunning and my jaw dropped, the staff were extremely friendly on...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post. I was thrilled we made such a great impression when you walked through our doors. Our 10,000 crystal chandelier, stunning floral display, marble pillars with gold leaf and friendly team do indeed create a memorable first impression. Thank you for your comments regarding your room which I will certainly address with our Head Housekeeper...

If you're looking for traditional London, this 150-plus-year-old hotel is an ideal place to stay when visiting the city. It's location is perfect (right next to Victoria Station) within walking distance of Buckingham Place and with the "hop-on, hop-off" tour buses just outside the front entry. The hotel itself is classic London, with "proper" but very friendly service from the...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post. Built in 1862 and a Grade II listed building steeped in history The Grosvenor certainly is a traditional hotel. Our location here on Buckingham Palace Road makes us an ideal choice for exploring this great city either on foot or by public transport which is just steps away from us. If you sign up...

A lovely building with excellent staff. Stayed in a executive room, worth every penny! Staying in an executive room allows access to the executive lounge, the breakfasts and evening light bites are very delicious. Visited the Chinese Restaurant on our 43rd wedding anniversary, although the food was very good the service was poor. It appeared that the staff were more...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your wonderful post and recommending us. Our Executive rooms certainly are with every penny and offer that extra touch of luxury and benefits. Thank you for your comment about The Grand Imperial which made disappointing reading and I will be sure to pass these on to them. We hope to welcome you back again in the...

The Grosvenor Hotel is very conveniently located adjacient to Victoria Station. We found the staff to be efficient and friendly. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel more than met our standards. Restaurants and shopping nearby.

Excellent position! Just in the heart of London. You can get any place in London easily through Victoria station and the tube. The rooms are very comfortable, both the restaurants good and the staff polite and efficient.

I stayed at the Grosvenor for 3 nights. first and foremost thing you notice is it's prime location: literally on top of Victoria station. transportation across London was never easier! and let me say right away, that in spite of the proximity to the station - you don't experience any noise from the trains! it's a small wonder - but...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post. Built in 1862, and recently restored to its former glory, grandeur defines every detail here at The Grosvenor. Offering a choice of accommodation from standard rooms in our wing section which was added in 1910 to our larger deluxe and executive rooms which are located in the main building. All of our rooms are...

Nice hotel, very conveniently located. I stayed here twice in two weeks. The first occasion, I was given a really tiny room, which didn't really have adequate space to do any work, which was frustrating. However, on the second occasion, I was given a really palatial room, so my overall impression is hugely improved. The dining facilities are very good...

Such a great location for touring London! It's an easy tube ride from Heathrow and the double-decker tour bus has a stop right outside the hotel doors if that's your thing. Rooms weren't anything special but were clean and a good value for a traveler on budget who doesn't want to stay in a hostel. Easy walk to Buckingham Palace...

We had a wonderful time at the Grosvenor as the rooms, food & service were all lovely. Upon entering the hotel, the reception area is decked out with spectacular flower arrangements and so the aroma in the area was divine. The staff were always friendly & helpful & the concierge was particularly helpful at all times. Nothing was too much...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
