The hotel is located in a not very clean area. The staff was kind, but the room had a tilted floor, which can even be felt in bed. A lot of things were broken or partly broken and the bathroom was not very clean. One day a guided tour was in front of the building and blocking the intrance. You...

Stayed in this hotel on 2 occasions and both times the staff were helpful and approachable. Only 2 minute walk from Tube station. Well located for east London and for going south over the river for attractions.

Stayed for two nights along with my son. Brick Lane is a bit noicy late Friday and Saturday evenings/nights. 24h reception not open when we tried to check out. Got back after getting breakfast but still no one around. Called number on booking/Web page and the phone on the other side of the desk rang. Found an emergency number to...

Upon arrival, nobody answered the buzzer to let us into the hotel. I had to call to be let in. The reception was also hardly attended. Once, our shower leaked in the middle of the night into the room below. I understand that staff had to knock on our door at 12am to make us aware of the problem though....

Situated above a curry restaurant on Brick Lane, with aircon, wifi, TV, clean towels, comfy bed and shower. Bring your own shower gel though. You enter via a side entrance, so it doesn't depend on when the restaurant is open. Wasn't particularly noisy, we had no problems at all. It used to be a pub in ye olden days (Frying...

Searching for a place to stay for one night in East London I came across this by accident in one of the lesser used hotel websites. Decided to give it a go purely based on price and location. didn't really expect much but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. Firstly they allowed me to check in around 11am, which was...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.

“I think I set off the smoke alarm from the steam from my shower as I left my en suite door open into my room. Apologies to staff at the hotel and I would recommend that other guests close the bathroom door once inside.”
