We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Queen's Gate Hotel and did not experience the drawbacks other people have commented upon recently. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the Royal Albert Hall where we were attending a concert on Easter Sunday, and also far its public transport links - both underground and bus routes were within an...

We chose the Queens Gate Hotel because of its location. We needed a hotel close to the Royal Albert Hall and the Queens Gate fitted the bill. We were there for a two day stay. The Queens Gate is ideally situated not only for the Royal Albert Hall but the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the...

Spent my birthday in London and booked the hotel via booking.com. The allocated room was on the top floor, the windows slightly tatty, the bathroom not truly clean (hairs in shower) We informed the front office staff and the room was cleaned again in our absence. Nevertheless it's unlike that we book the hotel again...

We've stayed before - noticed a few signs of wear and tear since last time but still very good. Staff were friendly and courteous, beds were very comfy and although the shower over the bath was quite small, it was adequate. Breakfast buffet was ok - a little lukewarm but the coffee was great. Very quiet considering the location -until...

Stayed for one night when seeing a gig at the RAH, staff were very friendly and helpful, room was big enough, no problems with the facilities, appears to be a lot to see and do in the area, would use again.

Visited this hotel as convenient to the Royal Albert Hall , the room was more of a cupboard , everything was tiny . We are small people and even we found it claustrophobic. The shower was broken though once I mentioned it , it was fixed in minutes ( very impressive) we were offered another room but it was half...

Stayed at queens gate hotel for 1 night as we were visiting the Royal Albert Hall for a concert. The room was clean and spacious, however a little tired around the edges, marks on wallpaper, broken toilet roll holder etc. The bed was comfortable, and all the staff were very polite and accommodating. The breakfast was plenty full, but a...

This hotel is right across from the Natural History Museum, near excellent neighborhood pubs and restaurants and and easy walk to two underground stations. Inside the hotel you get spacious rooms and a great breakfast. You may not need to eat for the rest of the day. The staff is wonderful.

Although the hotel was very clean and tidy, the overall effect was let down by slow staff. My bedroom size was ample but was let down by its very small bathroom. For people who are on the larger size it can be a very right fit. It is also a shame when the chef at a 4* hotel presents something...

Dear pamaird, Thank you for choosing us for your recent visit to the Royal Albert Hall. Apologies that our food did not measure up. Glad you enjoyed the freshly squeezed juice. Our coffee machine dispenses a variety of coffees. I very much hope you will give us another opportunity to impress with our usual standards. Sincerely Colm Kelly, General Manager

We arrived slightly early and was greated by friendly staff who explained everything clearly and booked us in quickly. Rooms were very clean, large and well equipped. We had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel and both were of a very good standard and staff were all very polite. Would stay here again!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
