Dear hotel guest, Thank you for your lovely review. It is wonderful to hear that you had a delicious breakfast, also that you took notice of our wide variety of cask conditioned ales, ciders and lagers. I am very happy that you noticed the good quality linen and towels that we use for our rooms as one of the most...

Ideal location for seeing the sights in London. Steps away from Tube station (which for us was key). Short walking distance to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Eye, Parliament Square. A nice easy stroll past 10 Downing Street to Trafalgar Square. Walkable to Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, and Theatre District. Normal size rooms by European standards (i.e., smallish) but well...

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. We loved this place. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I thought the bed was great...much better than most hotels. Our room was small but clean and modern. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and located in the pub attached to the hotel. It is a close walk...

Dear hotel guest, Thank you kindly for taking the time to leave your review. On arrival my first thoughts were - it's a pub. A very good pub which served me great fish & chips and a very well kept pint of summer real ale. The hotel reception and rooms are above the pub but don't let that worry you about noise. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a...

We stayed here last Tuesday. It is a boutique hotel alongside the Sanctuary Pub. Our room was luxuriously furnished and had an ensuite which had beautiful toiletries. It was small but we were only there for one night and if you are using it for sleeping, it is very good. The reception staff were particularly pleasant and went out of...

The hotel was in a quiet, yet very central location, making walking and getting around London very easy. The rooms were of a high standard and nicely fitted out, and there was a fridge and kettle in the room, a rarity in Europe. The Pub downstairs offered great food and atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.

We chose the Sanctuary House after finding some referrals to it in the forums. It was our first time in London, and the hotel suited us perfectly. It is a smaller hotel with a very fine staff. Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
