Service was great, the rooms were ok. The location is awesome. I feel like the flaws in the room were off-set by the amazing service provided by the concierge team. They really are the best in the business

I visited the Goring for an afternoon tea as part of a girls' day out in London - we'd been to several of the recommended London teas before, but The Goring is now our favorite, It's perfect if you're looking for a 'royal' tea as the decor in the lounge is stunning. Definitely try and snag a seat by the...

A wonderful experience at a fabulous family run hotel. From the greeting received on arrival to the final farewell, a wonderful welcome by highly energetic and customer led service team. Our room wasn't quite ready on arrival so we were asked to partake in a glass of champagne. We enjoyed a very delicious afternoon tea - sandwich and scones wonderful....

My best friend and I decided to meet here for lunch - I had come down from Yorkshire for the day and she was up from Somerset! It was perfect! Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious - in fact an excellent luncheon. We did find the Ladies Cloakroom rather dark!

Very sophisticated hotel and dining room area. I loved to have an early evening cocktail sitting near to the fire pit. Make sure you have a good friend in your side to share the magnificent paintings, decoration, drinks and dinner.

We ate in the restaurant with friends and were unanimous in our praise, all pronouncing it to be one of the best meals we had eaten. The food was utterly delicious, but surely that is to be expected in a Michelin starred restaurant. What made the occasion stand out was the service; it was attentive without being overbearing, informative without...

We enjoyed a weekend break at ‘The Goring’ to celebrate my 60th birthday. The staff, the facilities, the ambience of the hotel – all were perfection! The staff, without exception, were dedicated to ensuring that we ( and all other guests) enjoyed a relaxing stay at the hotel – nothing was too much trouble. We were warmly welcomed by the...

A great london landmark hotel that lives up to its reputation for quality and class. Visited for a dinner taking advantage of an early evening deal. Service precise , friendly and attentive. Food excellent. Started with the Cep Risotto and Cured Fish starters , both of which were excellent. Followed by the Sea Bream and the Lamb . The dining...

Overall, this has to be the best hotel experience I have ever had. Years ago I stayed at the Grand Del Mar in Southern California, and I would say the 2 are pretty close. The Goring adds that extra touch of impeccable service, and things like English Tea, which put it over the top. The attention to detail, the fulfillment...

Where so I start? Aside from the hotel itself being so beautiful, extravagant, and historic, the 5-star staff at the Goring is what sets it apart from other luxury hotels. I'm not good remembering names, but the gentleman who was at the front door most of the time was so incredibly nice, helpful and entertaining to talk to. The waitstaff...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
