I had a fantastic stay with Astor during my time in London. The hostel is super clean, great wifi, comfy beds and has all the things you need for a very comfortable stay. It's also in a well-connected location and right next to Hyde Park. But what makes Astor stand out from many other hostels I've stayed in over the... More

the staff was really nice and supportive but the kind of stay we had was really a bad one. we had booked a double room for 4 nights. it had bunk beds and was on 6th floor. we had to drag all our luggage to the 6th floor just to know that the key of that room wasnt working. Everytime... More

Hey thank you for your feedback, we are sorry you did not have an amazing time with us and you feel this way about your stay. We did everything in our power to try and get a replacement door mechanism, but as it was over the weekend we could not have it sent through in time, which is why we... More

This was a good hostel, it is a good place to meet people and the staff are friendly. It has a good atmosphere. There was an organised walking tour for Astor Only hostels which is a great way to meet other people. Great location. I already wrote a review on Hostelworld, but why not write another here...

I really wanted to say that I have enjoyed my stay at Astor, but that wasn't quite what happened. The internet was really bad and to use it in the rooms was almost impossible - which is a big issue, if you are traveling without roaming. There were no power outlets close to the beds (imagine sleeping at a place... More

Location is very good, right next to Hyde Park and close to the tube. Facilities need some updating, rooms are small and have this really old carpet. No air conditioning, so its a little unpleasant in the summer. Staff is really nice though, good breakfast (they ask for 1 pound donation), free wifi. No elevator also, so be ready to... More

Hey thank you for your feedback! You will be happy to know we have gotten rid of all the carpet inside the rooms! It is now all hardwood floors which make it a lot fresher during the hot days! After traveling to a few cities and staying at two different hostels that were pretty good, this one failed me. My traveling buddy booked rooms here so I took her word and I should've done some research. My gripe is that I had SUPER heavy luggage by the time I go to this hostel and was roomed on the 5th... Hey thanks for your feedback! Traveling with heavy luggage is definitely a pain, but if you fancy giving us a second opportunity that wouldn't be a problem once you're in the hostel, we are always more than happy to help you with your bags during check-in and check-out. There are toilets and showers on every floor so perhaps you did... More

Very nice hostel. From the moment I arrived from my previous hostel I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite a hot couple of weeks and the hostel was well equipped for it with fans and portable air-cons.
