Positives: * Location: Very close to London Euston and the tube network. * Rooms: Clean and basic. Ours overlooked the park which was nice. * Facilities: Left luggage facility (for a small fee). Negatives: * Noise: The road and bars nearby make it a very noisy place to stay. * Service: Whilst the reception and concierge staff were friendly the...

Cheap and cheerful, good breakfast, handy for nearby stations and attractions. The tap in bathroom which was a bit small was a bit leaky, room itself was fine and nice and quiet. The small bathroom was however made up by the fact that we received a free three course meal on arrival which could be used at any of the...

We had a family room which was quite spacious, the bathroom was reasonably clean and the location of the hotel was great (very close to Russell Square station and a few other stations). Staff very mostly very unfriendly and the room is slightly dated but other than that, I guess I'd have to say it wasn't too bad a stay,...

I spent a night at this hotel while at a work conference in London. The location was very good, 10- minute walk from Euston station, and the price quite good for a central London hotel. There was some beautiful art deco features too in the lobby and dining room, the service was alright, and it was clean, but that is...

this year I have done H K, N Y, Paris, Turkey and now London and this hotel as by far the worst, almost 3rd world standards. the WC in the room smelt like a city centre public convenience. The miniscule 4'6" bed was very uncomfortable. The Shower was so low it hit me in the chest. No air con ,...

A friendly, efficient and clean hotel. Minutes away from Euston Station and within easy walking distance of many interesting areas of London. Jaques Bar, within the hotel is pleasant and has good food

Attending a Conference near the Mall, we found the Tavistock Hotel which is no where near, but is on the number 91 bus route and takes one from outside Starbucks in Tavistock Road on a scenic trip through the City to Trafalger Square and close to Carlton House Terrace where the meeting was being held. The Tavistock hotel is a...

It's very cheap for its central location, but the quality of the rooms and services is poor. The room I stayed in was tatty, with stains on the floor and walls; the bed was poorly made; the breakfast tasted either cold or rubbery or both; and perhaps most annoyingly there is no proper wireless access - you can only use...

Brilliant hotel. We had seventh floor. Shower a bit week, but room clean and tidy. Bed really comfy. Breakfast great. Went to Jacques winebar in the hotel for food. Excellent welcome from the staff and the food was fabulous - all freshly cooked with huge portions. Don't forget of course the squirrels in Tavistock Square opposite the hotel. You can...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
