I visited the Hampton Court Palace in the spring (April) and all of the spring flowers are blooming - tulips and narcissus. The gardens are really spectacular. Inside the palace is also very impressive. The Palace is very easy to reach via train from the Waterloo station in London.

Hotel is above what seems to be a derelict pub. Man on reception rude. Dirty smelly horrid place. Carpets Freighing. When I got to the room it was all of the above and worse. Wallpaper hanging of mouldy walls. Paintwork chipped and dirty AND BLOOD ON CARPETS SKIRTING AND WALLS . Neither myself or my daughter felt safe and went... More

I just stayed in this hotel for only 1 night, however it wasn't comfy at all, I'll mention the Pros first then the Cons. Pros: - Not expensive and within the budget. - Clean - Friendly staff Cons: - Bed mattress was not good at all, I couldn't sleep all night - Break fast is only from 7:00 to 9:00... More

On arrival the hotel looked old and uncared for, the woodwork hadn't seen a coat of varnish or paint in years. Inside the carpets were worn and frayed and after check in we had to carry our own bags upstairs ourselves. The room had brown damp stains in the ceiling and on the bedside table lamp-shade. The toilet sounded like... More

We only booked it to have shower because our boiler was broken. Price wise is ok but the decor is extremely outdated. Good points despite being ancient it was clean. I had white socks that was still white after walk. Bad things - horrible water pump noise all night long. Heating not working. And horrible horrible decor. If hotel reads... More

Very Large room, great price, found a parking space close to hotel as long as you move for 8.30am. Breakfast was self serve, cereals, toast, croissants etc. If you are a family visiting London or a group of workers on a budget its fine, my room had a double bed and two singles with plenty of room.Bathroom needed a bit... Terrible hotel in the middle of a housing estate in an unsafe area. Graffiti on the front of the hotel. Rooms were very shabby, door in room didn't close properly, the staff were unfriendly (bar the older man at reception) Out of date boxes of cereal for breakfast & a toaster that didn't toast. Only plus was the bed was... More

A basic, cheap place to stay for an odd night in my opinion but I wouldn't want to be coming back there night after night. Creaky floorboards, erratic water pressure and temperature. My room also smelled a bit sewer-like (the stink pipe casing was found to be wrapped in brown packing tape - not standard décor!). Breakfast as expected but... More

This isn't a standard chain place. Nor is it the Ritz. But for what you're paying it's surprisingly good. The rooms were clearly appointed at a point when this place had ambition: the bathroom was almost palatial with a lovely tiling scheme, and there was even a trouser press hidden away in a cupboard. There are paintings on the walls... More
