Enjoy London city breaks in style at our Premier Inn London County Hall hotel. Set inside the city's historic County Hall - an iconic Grade II listed building - we're just a short walk away from some of the city's main tourist attractions like the London Eye, The London Dungeon and Jubilee Gardens. Kids will love visiting the popular London Aquarium, while other London South Bank attractions like the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre are unmissable for culture lovers. Big Ben isn't far away either and, as you'll be close to Westminster Bridge, neither is Westminster Abbey. If you want to visit other London boroughs, you can head straight for Waterloo Station, which is only about an eight-minute walk away. Leave some extra time to wander through Waterloo Graffiti Tunnel on your way!

The Premier Inn London County Hall Hotel enjoys a lauded central location that guests love, nestled close to iconic landmarks like the London Eye and Waterloo Station. While the friendly atmosphere is a highlight, opinions on value and service quality vary, with some travelers finding them reasonable and others pointing to extra charges and inconsistent service. Room cleanliness receives mixed reviews, amid reports of maintenance issues and outdated decor. Noise levels can be a concern, and while breakfast generally satisfies, some amenities disappoint.

We have just spent 2 nights at this hotel and it was perfect for what we wanted. A central location, at a reasonable price and with good facilities. We paid for the cooked breakfast both mornings, which kept us going for the day. We also ate our evening meal here, which saved wandering the streets to find a restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even providing a bath mat because they didn’t have a room with a walk in shower. The room was large and it was possible to adjust the heating which was good. The only slight negative was that the WiFi connection in the room was very slow. We only used the free WiFi as I wasn’t paying for it, but I think it should have been better in central London! However we had an enjoyable stay at this hotel and would definitely stay again if I was in London.

Good mid-range hotel, located near Westminster. The rooms are modern and pleasantly furnished, clean with a nice bathroom. The beds have new, good mattresses, the room in general makes a well-kept impression for this price range. You can leave your luggage in the luggage room after checking out, a nice and friendly service will help you with this. In the morning there is breakfast, 11 GBP (children under 16 are free), with toast, jam, eggs, bacon, beans, sausage, juice. Coffee, cereal, tea, fruit, yogurt... everything you need to start the day.

Decent sized room for two people with two windows; a small desk area including tea making facilities; and a shower room with sink and toilet. Limited cupboard space and drawers.

As always a comfy Premier Inn bed. We asked for a quiet room and were situated at the end of a long corridor on the third floor.

Check-in only opens electronically from 3pm (with staffed check-in slightly earlier) and long queues for check-in were experienced between 2.45pm - 3.30pm

Would definitely recommend for a 1 night or 2 night London stay. This is an excellent location for the Westminster, Embankment and South Bank tourist areas.

The hotels offers very competitive food and drink deals (e.g. for both accompanying children and also a 2-course meal with drink and breakfast) and the food quality was good. However service was very slow (in the 6-7pm time slot). We waited about 15 mins to order; over 30 mins for our drinks to arrive from ordering and one of the children's meals included the wrong side order. I think the restaurant was understaffed at this time but pressures seemed to ease after 7pm..

A couple of small pointers for the hotel - the TV remote control needed new batteries and the extractor fan in the shower room needs a good clean (Room 342).

We decided to spend the night here after attending a late night event and not wanting to rush for the last trains out of London.

It is right next to the London Eye, and 7 minutes walk from Waterloo Station. The Premier room we stayed in was OK, with a coffee machine and ironing board (which came in handy for smoothing out the creases and disinfection from the last minute Tesco F&F PJs and underwear shopping). The only thing worth nothing about this hotel and Premier Inn in general, is that although they were happy to supply the bathroom with premium Baylis and Harding shower gel, there is no toothpaste or cheap toothbrush to go with it, which is slightly inconvenient to discover at 10pm (which we were able to rectify by running down to the shops down the road)

Overall what I had expected with a Premier Inn

Its a fairly good premier Inn...Situated right by County Hall and the London Eye...Its clean and practical and the staff were polite and helpful. We were out most of time so didn't spend much time there. The areas a bit noisy in the morning if you have the window open. And they provide paltry amounts of tea/coffee/milk in the room with no way of contacting reception to ask for more. Also, they should provide separate shampoo and conditioner rather than a wall mounted shampoo and body wash combo. I get the location is central but its still a very basic hotel for £180 a night so those little touches should still be provided...

This hotel was disappointing in the following ways:
- our bathroom smelled really horrible (like stale cigarette smoke) -- we heard other guests complaining about the smell of their rooms as well
- all of our pillow cases (there were 4 of us, so 4 pillows) were badly stained (or dirty)
- air conditioning and wifi were both very weak at best (especially the wifi -- and we even had terrible cell reception in the room, too!)
- We asked for our room to be cleaned on one morning of the three days we stayed (you have to request), and then went out to explore London for the entire day, returning in the evening (around 5pm) to an uncleaned room. Someone finally showed up to clean at 6pm, but we sent them away because after being out all day we wanted a short rest in the room before dinner. You'd think they could clean the room before 6pm if they were properly staffed (which they're likely not).

Also, if you have mobility challenges: be mindful that there are about 15 stairs leading up to the entrance of the hotel (and no ramp), which I don't remember being made aware of when booking. We saw a wheelchair user's family try to navigate these steps at one point by trying to push the wheelchair up the many steps, and the person nearly tumbled down them all.

Good points were the friendly staff (they were nice, at least!) and the location and price, especially for a family of 4 who wanted to stay in one room (hard to find in London). We were expecting a basic hotel for the price -- but as seasoned travelers we all agreed that the hotel was one of the most disappointing we've ever stayed in, and would likely not choose it again.

Would not recommend the hotel at all, the location was the best thing about the hotel, the room was large and clean everything else need major improvements. We arrived and was given our room key and told that we would have to let reception know before 12 if we needed our room cleaned , we wasn’t told at any point how we got new towels of we didn’t want the room cleaned. We tried to get some food on NYE to be told that if we hadn’t pre booked then we couldn’t. They told us an email had been sent out for pre booking but nowhere on any of my emails did it say we had to pre book. One of the nights we did eat in the restaurant we had to wait 50 minutes for our starter, when our main meal arrived nobody noticed for at least 5 minutes until we stopped someone that we had no cutlery and when we asked for dessert they told us the kitchen was closed. There also was nothing in any of the rooms that told us how to get in touch with reception if we wanted anything or in an emergency as the telephones had been removed after Covid. I do think they should have the reception number in the room.
Totally ruined stay. I did complain and the reception did she she would put on the system to refund part of the stay but it was not actioned.

Housed in a lovely looking building, had a nice sized room to store your luggage in before it was booking in time so you could wander around the South Bank totally luggage free. Booking looked a little chaotic but I did get to one of the automatic booking machines quite quickly so all was well, but the staff were really good throughout though. The room was very good, to a good clean standard & very comfortable to sleep & relax in.
The meal in the evening was really good, I had the Beef & Ale Pie & the staff were very helpful & attentive, especially Sam in paticualr

It was our first time staying at a Premiere Inn. It will be our last. We were checked into a horrible room that had stained carpets, worn furniture with holes in the upholstery, a broken showerhead, and non-functioning Wi-Fi. We went downstairs to bring it to the front desk, attention and nothing was done. We were literally chasing a manager for days to try and get it resolved, and they were always too busy to even speak to us. I felt like they were just trying to avoid us. The kicker was that our booking for seven days went down $200 after we booked on the companies website. They refused to credit us for the difference, even though they guarantee lowest price when you book on their website. On top of that, when I spoke to the manager, John at the County Hall Location, he would not refund the difference. As a peace offering to resolve the situation, I would be willing to accept buffet breakfast for two for five days and exchange for the difference and all would be OK. He absolutely refused to Compass for breakfast, even though it’s a buffet that’s already laid out and it doesn’t matter if two extra people eat. I was absolutely in shock and disgusted. I would never ever stay at a hotel chain that feels that it’s OK to rent out a room like this and this condition to a visitor and after that charge them for it. Stay away!

We stayed here on two separate occasions in April. We arrived early from Heathrow and we were allowed into a room for and extra charge of ten pounds. The room on the 6th floor was clean, tidy and warm. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a bath with shower overhead, all very good The location is close to Waterloo underground and its right next to the London Eye. We did not dine in the hotel so I cannot comment on that. All in all, I recommend this hotel.

I was concerned about this also and even tried to call the hotel to get an answer and I couldn't get a straight answer. Keep in mind that UK bed sizes are different than US bed sizes. US queen is equivalent to UK king. What I can say is that the bed was of adequate size--it didn't feel small. That would mean that it was at least US queen size. For reference, I have a California king at home.
