My wife and I stayed here for two nights, 17th to 19th May as we had managed to get some very cheap train fares from Birmingham and wanted to keep costs down to a minimum. We hadn't stayed in the Paddington area before but were fairly pleased witn the area , which has some decent places to eat and drink...

Not glamourous but clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a good breakfast and the location is great, close to tube station, buses, Paddington station and an easy walk through Kensington gardens to the v&a, science museum and natural history museum. We'd definitely stay there again.

I used this hotel for years and was pleased when I returned after a gap of around seven years that it was still excellent value. It is less than 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station - great if you arrive from Heathrow. The rooms are basic but reasonably sized for the cost and have the always essential free wifi, decent...

There were tree of us looking for affordable accomodation in central London and we were booking about two weeks before going there for Easter - impossible? No, we got a triple room at Lancaster Hall in the youth wing with shared toilets and showers. We were a little worried that it would be noisy and dirty, but had no reason...

This is a solid, clean budget hotel. A great find not far from Paddington if you are watching the purse strings travelling in a very expensive city. The staff are friendly, the rooms are fine (but bring your own shampoo and body wash, that isn't on offer here). The only problem is that the walls are pretty thin and there...

I was very unsure when making this booking - £65 was incredibly cheap given the location is just a 3 minute walk from Hyde Park with Lancaster Gate and Marble Arch tube stations just down the road or Paddington a 5 minute walk in the other direction. However the hotel reception is very presentable, simple and clean. The staff were...

This was the fourth or fifth time we have stayed in Lancaster Hall during our annual visits from NE Scotland to London. Needless to say, this hotel ticks all the boxes for us - great central location with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby; functional but extremely clean bedrooms; fantastic continental breakfast; friendly and efficient staff - and all at...

Excellent location with a reasonable rate. This is a budget hotel, with that in mind you get what you pay for. We literally just slept here. The sheets and towels were clean plenty of breakfast. The staff are friendly. Beside Lancaster gate tube and a hop on hop off tourist stop just around the corner so no delays in starting...

Great value - just a bed, ensuite bathroom and nice continental breakfast, fresh warm bread, great cheese :) - all you need really. Clean, and they put a campbed out for my son, so it was possible to sleep 3 of us in a twin room. Walls are thin, so we could hear the clonks etc from the corridor outside...
