The hotel was exactly what I expected. Extremely small room but very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom sink was the smallest sink I have ever seen and extremely difficult to use and not get water everywhere. I am not tall and it was awkward reaching the sink. The shower head broke because it was so...

This hotel is very centrally located. It's basic enough but what do you need?! I had a fine stay, the room was small but I was only staying one night but even still it had everything I need. It was very clean and the breakfast was lovely.

The Alhambra is a very comfortable and clean hotel, ideally situated less than 5 minute's walk from both King's Cross and St Pancras Railway Stations. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are extremely good with plenty of choice. All things considered, it is an extremely good value for money hotel, very reasonably priced for London.

This is an excellent hotel to stay in if you need to be close to Kings Cross and St Pancras train stations. It isnt 5* luxury but then your not paying 5* prices. I paid around £90 mid-week B+B. It was for work purposes and it was just ideal. Very friendly receptionist, clean, modern, minimalist rooms and for once the...

Stayed in July for four nights. Rooms small and you get some exercise walking up the stairs but very clean, very friendly and helpful staff and very good breakfast. If you pay by credit card, about 2% tacked on but there are banking machines a block away.

We are two older travellers, and stayed Oct.21 to Nov.2nd,2011. We had a great stay. The hotel was very central, the room while small, was very clean and the ensuite was adequate. The staff were very helpful & friendly. They serve a great breakfast. Really nice sausages! There is sometimes a short wait for a table, but well worth the...

Location is great (one block from King's Cross/St.Pancras), night staff helpful and pleasant. My room was on the third floor, no elevator... OK for one night, carrying small suitcase. Not so good if you're carrying a big bag. Room was tiny, makes Paris hotel rooms seem like presidential suites by comparison... Nice modern bathroom, but my sink smelled really bad...

First time at this hotel. Room well appointed, not large but not too small. Very helpful staff. Breakfast incredibly efficient - perhaps too much so - but good quality and not excessive, which suits us fine. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean, well kept room, good location (100m from the King's Cross tube&railway station), free wifi throughout the hotel, good full English breakfast, 24hrs reception with friendly staff ... highly recommended!

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
