Visited Saturday night 18th February 2017. Had steak and ale pie. Very tasty. Good old pub. No jukebox. Thames a few minutes walk away. Felt quite Victorian! Staff very attentive and helpful. Just off Blackfriars Road.

The Mad Hatter is a great small hotel in an awesome location. It was perfect for our quick (3 night) trip to London. The hotel is within walking distance (20 minutes or less) to all major attractions. Easily accessible from Blackfriars station which provides easy access to Gatwick. As noted in other reviews there is quite a bit of construction...

My very positive experience with this hotel prompted me to join TripAdvisor and submit this review. The hotel's location is excellent, being 5-10 minutes walk from Southwark, Blackfriars and Waterloo stations. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. There were construction works across the road from the hotel (One Blackfriars or " the Vase", but this did not...

The staff went out of their way to help us be comfortable. This started from check in and continued through check out. Having free water and coffee in the room was an added bonus. It was my first time visiting London and the location was excellent to walk to many attractions. The restaurant/bar was excellent. The staff welcomed us as...

The Mad Hatter is in a great location. The BFI, Globe, Tate Modern, Borough Market and the City are all an easy walk from the hotel. The rooms are big, with high ceilings and the one we stayed in had been recently refurbished. You eat breakfast in the pub bar downstairs (which I loved), and the food was great. There...

Lovely little place with lovely staff. Perfect walking distance for most places and Waterloo underground right around the corner too. We really enjoyed our stay - loved the room! I was in London to do the winter run and we didn't get back until after checkout time, but the lady on the desk was very nice and understanding and allowed...

Great location - walkable for most things but great tube links too. Building site view less than scenic but free drinks helped with that! & no noise discernable. Service was excellent in both hotel & bar, & room service breakfast luxurious!

We had a comfortable stay at the Mad Hatter hotel last October. They have a restaurant that serves breakfast. As London is quite walkable, we would just walk across one of the bridges to Charring Cross or wherever.

I stated here for one night on a business trip. Really loved it: good size room, comfy bed and nice pillows, spotlessly clean, warm, nice toileters in the bathroom, Bath tub, nice warm shower, hot chocolate sachets, filter coffee, shortbread, mints, a drink on arrival with apologies for the noise from building works which are taking place outside, nice staff...
