I have stayed at the Cumberland several times and have always found it to be a convenient and pleasant place to stay. I love the 2 different bars as this gives you a place to meet for business and then move downstairs to the Bar proper where you can watch the footie and kick back after a hard days work,The...

Our stay at The Cumberland was our first during a two-week trip to Europe. Jet-lagged, hungry and in need of courteous front desk staff, we were instead told that since we had requested "early arrival" that we would be charged an extra night at this hotel. This is not an inexpensive hotel, and we were not amused. My husband escalated...

I have stayed in London in many very nice hotels and this was definitely my worst experience. I was expecting a modern luxury hotel but in the reality the hotel had a personality of the ice cube. Lobby is huge and unwelcoming. Nobody was there to help with our bags which was very strange in this class of the hotel....

Very good location for shopping and sightseeing in the end/ start of Oxford street and next to Hyde Park. The staff were very service minded and the rooms very tidy and clean every day. Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
