118 pounds for a little suite is impressive value for the city. Staff were professional and polite. You don’t get the same level as service as a 5* hotel but the price reflects this so no complaints. They do charge a 100 pounds deposit on arrival as opposed to taking a credit card, but this was refunded on check-out so again, no complaints.

We stayed in the Tower suites for a weekend away in London, where we would do shopping and catch a show! The room was clean and very spacious, we had booked a superior room and we fortunately looking out over the river and the Tower of London! It is a great place to stay for the sites of the city and Canary Wharf. I would consider staying further west for more of a theatre stay. The room rate was high, but we used Top cash back credit with a virgin experience voucher to pay for this, this meant it didn’t include breakfast and was room only, this was a little disappointing for a 5* experience.

Myself and husband stayed here for 2 nights. On arriving we were so happy, the hotel was literally a minutes walk from Tower Hill tube which was great as it was 10pm. Check in was easy and staff friendly. First impressions of the room was it looked amazing, very large for a London hotel and looked stylish, although we were disappointed with the view, we were told it was a city view which was a view of a car park and the neighbouring hotel. The kitchen area had a washing machine, dishwasher, sink and hob. I did find it strange that they didn't supply and cloths, tea towels or washing up liquid. Upon looking closely we noticed that it wasn't very clean, there were brown tea/coffee stains in the mugs and disgusting looking stains on the bed cushion (See pic). As it was so late we didn't complain. I put the cushion on the floor and went to bed. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have every tried to sleep on, even with a mattress topper it was like sleeping on wooden planks and we ended up tossing and turning every ten minutes as we were getting dead arms and legs!! Next morning after we had showered in quite possibly the worst shower ever, the ceiling shower head was little more than a dribble, we had to use the side shower head, which was only slightly better. We went for breakfast, when booking we paid extra for a "good breakfast" which was an average continental breakfast, we were told we could upgrade to a full English for an extra £7.50 each having already paid £30 I thought this was a rip off. We went for a walk, location is amazing, right opposite The Tower of London and so many options for public transport that you are spoilt for choice. When arriving back at our room we found that the cleaners had been, they had put the dirty cushion back on the bed and taken our towels. After the long day we had we wanted to freshen up with a shower, I went to reception and told them what had happened, the gentleman apologised and said he would send some towels straight up to our room. My husband was already in the shower and he had to use the bath robe. After 2.5 hours waiting he went down to complain, they did then send the towels up. I don't feel that this hotel is worthy of the 5* rating that it is given, the thick dust on the restaurant blinds, the dirty bed cushions and having to pretty much demand towels is not something you would expect from a 5* establishment, which is a shame as the location and size of the rooms are amazing. The hotel has potential. It would have been nice to have a room service menu in the room and some cleaning equipment to clean the coffee mugs. Overall I wouldn't recommend staying at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid unless you want to wake up with a bad back from the terrible mattress.

3 night stay with my husband and our 8 year old. Great location, opposite Tower Hill underground station and opposite The Towers. Lovely and clean, modern facilities and spacious. Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. I would rate this hotel as 5 star apart from one major thing. The BED was awful, I’ve never slept on such a hard mattress, it totally let the Hotel down. I did ask for a mattress topper which was on the bed when we returned after a day out, but even this and sleeping on top of the duvet didn’t really help. I resorted to sleeping on the sofa bed that was much comfier on night two. Night three, again will be on the settee bed. We will all be fighting to sleep on there as no one likes the bed in the bedroom area ! My husband has also complained that he feels his back is hurting and he never complains! We do not have a soft mattress at home, we have a medium/firm one. This mattress here at Tower Suites is unbelievably hard, there is no spring to it at all. I did notice another guest complaining about this previously on here but I thought they maybe had a soft mattress at home. Should the mattress have been ok then this Hotel would most certainly have been our London go to Hotel and I would have recommended it but absolutely no way can I endorse this Hotel whilst it provides such poor mattresses. Also the lighting system is hi tech but we didn’t appreciate the lights switching themselves on 4 times on night one between 1230am and 605am! We did complain about this and it did not happen again last night, All I can see really is I can not wait to get home for a good nights sleep !
