Stayed here as our tour was leaving from here, it was very average and expensive in general but i suppose for the location it was possibly reasonable as we did not look for other accommodation in the area to know how it priced compared to these but the room was extremely dated

Well located, well priced and clean. Given the price point of this hotel i'd expected to find it full of backpackers. And there was a Top Deck busload staying, however other guests ranged from 18y.o. to in their 60's. Very lean and tidy with a good, small range of services on site.

Located in a lovely area. Just 3 blocks from tube station and high street and 5 from Hyde Park. Simple but nice rooms. Ideal for a short stay in London. I would definitely stay here again. Great shower!

This was once the Westminster hotel. It must have been a nice place by then but it is now clearly just a cheap solution to have a bed under your back for a night. The hotel is not very well maintained, looks, smells and feels very old with many features damaged like stores, cupboards, etc... Renovated with a coat of...

Stayed here in September 2013 with my boyfriend. When we first got there our allocated room was awful with stains on the walls and the floor outside the window was covered with tab ends, plus our bed was just 2 twin beds pushed together. I went to reception and asked to change and they did it straight away with no...

The reception staff were helpful and friendly, and the location of the hotel is great, just 5 mins walk from the nearest tube station, and close to central London. BUT..... The hotel is a tired old terrace building, the paintwork needs attention, the sofas are worn and scruffy, the lifts are a bit rickety with the old name of the...

I have stayed here many times over the last few years on visits to London - because of its location, it's fairly good price (considering the location), and because I know I won't be spending much time in the room. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful, but the rooms vary depending on which part of the converted...

This hotel is absolutely dire in its customer service. I booked a room for one night for when I needed to be in London for business. I'm a busy man so I booked it online. Come the day before I looked for the email confirmation and could find none. I then emailed them about this and they took nearly the...

This hotel was really handy for all that I needed to do last weekend but, aside from the main reception, the hotel is looking seriously dated. Our room was clean (ish - we found a pair of socks under the curtain) but the shower's grouting was ugly and the sink was out in the main bedroom which means you can't...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
