The good: - Great service from check-in to check-out. - All staff were welcoming and friendly. - The hotel lobby and bar looked fantastic. - The buffet breakfast was brilliant and lots of choice. - The bar menu was a little pricey but otherwise tasty food, great cocktails, and bar staff in particular were very friendly. - The hotel was... I stayed recently in this hotel with a friend. It is a really nice and comfortable hotel. The staff is helpful and kind. I need to say a big "Euxaristo" to Alexandros at the reception who is Greek like me and he really helped me and my friend with everything. He is great !! However I would like to say... More

Room size was good, received a free drink each from the bar as one of the rooms wasn't ready. Would visit again. Friendly staff. Nice selection of cocktails, we ordered a pizza to the hotel for ease and used UBER to go out in Picadilly.

We booked through booking.com and before traveling upgraded to executive double, what we got was a large single with window around the corner room 434 and after complaining moved to another room 807 which is marginally better. Photos is rooms on website do not match reality. Standard is not what one would expect in a four star. Quality of towels... More

Our room was near the main lift so very easy access for my wife who has mobility problems, the drawback of this is that on saturday night it was very noise as people returned to there rooms after a night out but only on that night both Friday and Sunday nights where OK Bar was a little over priced even... A warm welcome by concierge and reception staff. We were directed to our parking space beneath the hotel which was expensive but very convenient. Our room was small but clean and adequate with a good powerful hot shower. A real cold draft came through the window however everything else was adequate for the weekend break we were on. The hotel... More

I recently stayed at the Kensington Close Hotel and found it to be contemporary and very comfortable. Overall, I was pleased with my hotel choice, however found two aspects that could easily be avoided, a big disappointment: 1) Misleading advertisement. Don't go expecting the Molton Brown products in your rooms as shown on the hotel's homepage because even though I... More

First hotel stay in London! Friendly and welcoming staff. Upgraded to a bigger room since they are quite small, similar to New York hotel stays. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom small but very clean. Loved our doorman! Very cordial and accommodating. Close to Underground subway, grocery store nearby, shops down the road as well. Great location. Must re-visit soon!

I think this hotel is improving every time we go. We enjoyed a 3 nights for the price of 2 stay and it was very good value for money and had free wifi. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of places to have breakfast so I can't comment on that. Executive room was... More

To move around in the room we had to climb over the bed. The toilet was minimal and the door to the toilet couldn't open properly. There was no toilet brush, which was disgusting. Internet access is sold for 2 pounds pr. 24-hour pr. device... but the bandwith is so lousy that your really can't use it at all. All... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
