Stayed here as part of a Skills Travel MiniBreak. Really quiet location, very comfortable room and excellent Breakfast. Round corner from High St Kensington with its cosmopolitan shops, Tube , restaurants and one off Wholefoods Store which is unique and well worth visiting instead of Borough Market for any foodies. Will certainly come back to this hotel and will remember...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days in June,16. We booked a standard room. The size of the room is a joke,it is like a large closet. Upon seeing the room we asked if we could see a larger room.I was advised that it would be an extra £50 a night. The room was a little bigger, but not much, definitely not...

Stayed here and took a tube to the concert. The hotel is great, very plush surroundings. bedrooms/suites are extremely well equipped and stylish. Beds are fantastically comfortable. Air conditioning in the rooms. Just a an all round very smart hotel. Dinner was delightful and the staff in the dining room were fabulously attentive both for dinner and at breakfast. WiFi...

I booked this online for a discount and it had 4 stars on the website. I should have consulted Trip Advisor, definitely only 2.5 stars in reality. 1st the positives: only a few blocks from Kensington Palace and tube stop, near shopping and restaurants and the fabulous Hyde park. The lobby is modern and nice. The negatives: small rooms (the...

We booked this hotel a budget room it was a very small room with the bed against the window, you could only get into bed from one side. It was on the 6 th floor and furthest away from any working lifts. And I say again working lifts. I was offered another room but it was the same in a...

Nice enough hotel, check-in was all about the flight crew who turned up just before me - paying guests are treated as second class! when eventually served I was told that the company credit card used to secure the booking could not be used to pay so I had to pay the bill on my own card. Room was very...

This time around I booked a standard double room. The bed was positioned in the room so as to render 20% of the space unusable and the bathroom again is poorly designed. Why do hotel rooms need to have a bath? Uk hotels take note - no one uses baths in mid-market hotels. The door opened into the bathroom thus...

The hotel is in a great location and on arrival the foyer looked amazing. The check in was awful took 20 minutes and was spoken too like an idiot I have never experienced a check in so awful! Only 1 out of 4 lifts were in service throughout my whole 3 day stay which was really annoying when trying to...

Difficult to negotiate round the bottom of the bed and when I was sitting in the chair either doing my make up or whatever, had to stand up to give room to pass. Wi-fi £9.00 a day which is outrageous and gym £8.00 per session. At the bar the drinks were not only over-priced, a 20% service tip was levied...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
