We, two adults and one child, enjoyed our stay at the Kensington Close Hotel very much. The staff: reservation, booking, reception, concierge, pool&spa, restaurant were extremely nice and helpful. I'd like to point out especially Mrs Brigitta Balogh from the reservation team: thank you for everything! Businesswise, I am often in hotels - The Kensington Close Hotel I consider one...

The room is very small even though we were told we got a free upgrade. Love the shower and the shampoo was the best at any hotel we stayed at in the past ten days. Just one night stay. The front desk was helpful with us checking in and they had a porter carry the luggage to the room. Better...

When you look at the web site you feel that this hotel is quality. When you open the door to your room it is completely different. The room we stayed in was so small you could barely get around the bed. The room was also tired and needed modernising. The bathroom was also small but functionally and had been upgraded...

I stayed here a few times over the past few years. It's very handy for tube and High Street Ken and is perfectly adequate for a nice mid price hotel. I liked the check in and the rooms were pretty clean and standard,

We booked an executive room with breakfast for one night. Couldn't fault the room or the receptions customer service. The room wasn't huge, but large enough and well appointed especially the bathroom - all very clean. The only thing that let it down was breakfast. Clearly we weren't 'A' listers as some customers were shown to their table whereas we...

The hotel has a nice, large lobby with plenty of tables and couches. There is wifi only in half of the lobby, which is very inconvenient. There is no wifi in the rooms, unless you want to pay an additional charge. The days of charging for wifi are over, but this hotel wants to get you for every cent. When...

This hotel is the most inconvinient hotel I stayed during the last 2 years. Alarms go off 5am, the security locks your room instead of disabling your room key if you late check out, breakfast staff are unattendant, etc.etc...

Stayed here for a few days on a London getaway. Hotel was reasonably priced, staff friendly enough. Room was small but acceptable with a good bathroom and bath/shower. Bed was way too soft though and not the most comfortable. There were building works going on at the time we stayed which meant unbearable drilling noise from late afternoon (getting back...

Awsome place to stay in london. Close to the tube and shops. Rooms are a bit small, as they are in london, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great. And a good gym if you have time and energy for it. Look for deals...

For a very large London hotel this isn't a bad one. Offers high end reception services and is popular with airlines. Bedrooms are being refurbished,I had a new one that had an excellent finish, but like many London hotels it was rather small and the bed let it down. Good breakfast.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
