The Marriott County Hall is located across the bridge from Big Ben. We found the location great for walking distance to many of the main sites in London. We took the Heathrow Express from Heathrow to Paddington Station and then a cab to the Marriott. The cab came in at about 22 pounds each way to Paddington and 50 pounds...

It was also one of the best nights sleep I have ever had amazing beds to the point that you can go onto the Marriott shop website and buy the bed great marketing...

The hotel and staff are fantastic, but the beds aren't so good. They are worn on the edges so you fall out, so if you're sharing a bed it's difficult. I kept waking up due to nearly falling out. I expected more having paid £271 for a nights stay. I hardly slept, so driving home the day after wasn't fun...

Just returned from a week at this beautiful hotel. I went with my son. It is in a fantastic location next to the London Eye and walking distance to Covent Garden, Theatre district, Parliament buildings etc. The staff helped us every day with bookings and advice on what to do. We really enjoyed the restaurant in the hotel as well....

Here for a company sales meeting for two nights and I was impressed. The building dates from the mid twenties an exudes class. From the minute you walk in the front door, staff are attentive and this was a theme continued over the two days, with a can do attitude and a willingness to help. The room I got (312)...

I can't say enough great things about this property. The location is unbeatable for sight seeing, it is historic and quite beautiful. The staff is so courteous and helpful, the rooms are pristine.. I felt like royalty! It's situated right next to the London Eye, so the view is fun. The restaurant had creative choices and a broad variety, with...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
