My husband and I stayed for a week & visited so many places in London. The staff was friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions. Our location was within walking distance to the Parliament building (Big Ben, London eye, City cruise line location). Within two miles walk, are many locations. It's an amazing location on the river. Surprisingly,...

This hotel was remodeled completely in 2016, so it is in excellent condition. It would be hard to find a better location because you are across the Themes from the House of Lords, the London Eye is basically just out the door of the hotel, and the tour boats for the Themes are across the street. Pay the difference and...

This deserves its status as a top class hotel in a prime position. Expensive? yes! but excellent service all round . We had a snack lunch in the bar, cocktails later, and a great meal in the Gillrays restaurant. All good

We had a room overlooking the Thames and the London Eye. It was a great stay. The front desk staff was very welcoming and made us feel very much at home. The rooms were not huge - but it is a historic older facility so that was expected. The bathroom was great! Very clean. Kids enjoyed the pool and we...

This is a wonderful hotel in one of the best locations in London. The quality, cleanliness and politeness of the staff is impeccable. Attention to detail is paramount and there is nothing about the hotel and staff that causes concern. The rooms are clean, pleasant, well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. However, please do something about the...

This is not a cheap hotel but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. Beautiful building in an excellent location. On the banks of the river Thames with a view of Big Ben ( as long as you don't mind the chiming) The service is what you would expect of a hotel of this standard. Room...

Best location in London near to all locations and train stations. I would say perfect hotel in London. Though rooms are not that big. Further please always tell reception to give room near Elevator as they have only 2 elevators and if your room is far it can be couple of minute wall from elevator to Room. Halal food shops...

Brilliant place for a birthday celebration or special afternoon. We enjoyed afternoon tea with free flowing bubbles. The staff are wonderful and coped with our gluten free, vegetarian and nut allergy requirements with ease. Fantastic service, delicious food and a fantastic view of Big Ben.

My husband and I spent a total of 15 nights at the London Marriott Hotel County Hall and had a spectacular time. We spent 5 nights here in 2014 and knew we would stay at this hotel again when we came back to London. The newly renovated room overlooking Big Ben and Parliament was roomy and comfortable. The location of...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
