A great location but a very tired hotel. Needs some tlc. The rooms are ok and do the job but are tired, and certainly have not received the modernisation that a lot of holiday inns have. The bar area is shabby and not particularly attractive. Which is a shame for such a great location as it should be an awesome...

I stayed here for a couple of nights due to the train strikes. Being only an hour or so away from home, I was not a typical traveller on this occasion. And I paid with points rather than the eye-watering standard tariff... The Holiday Inn is tucked away in a side road just off Piccadilly. Staff are friendly, the bar...

A relatively inexpensive hotel room in a very expensive area of London, opposite Green Park and very near Bond Street and Dover Street shopping areas. The staff are lovely - warm, welcoming, and professional. Breakfast was as good as a buffet breakfast can be. The negative is that the hotel really needs an overhaul. I was in a standard room...

Our family of ten stayed over the weekend while in London to celebrate a 40th birthday. We booked two family rooms and two doubles. I stayed with my husband and two children in one of the family rooms, which had two double beds, a bathroom, and overlooked Berkeley Street. We arrived just after 11am on the Saturday, and despite an...

Needed to be in the centre of London and this turned out to be a perfect location and surprisingly quiet. Not the most modern hotel - but all the better for that because you get a tad more room and don't have to be an aeronautical engineer to operate taps and such in the bathroom. Desk to work and double...

The place is wonderfull. If you will go on holidays you are very close to almost all the palaces you will visit. Kind people, very good breakfast, clean rooms. Close to the metro station and the bus. Recommend!

Surprisingly good food in restaurant in evening as long as you are not in a rush - limited staff on duty. Excellent value room and good breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff. In winter lobby can be cold due to opening of revolving doors. Excellent location for sites and handy for underground out to Heathrow.

This hotel is great for the price. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The concierge was always available and helpful with any questions. Great location and central. There's a park kitty corner that will take you right to Buckingham Palace. Also, you must go for tea at the Ritz Carlton.

Seven of us stayed here as part of a weekend in London. We picked it because it was very handy for the places we wanted to go. One of the rooms was ready on arrival so we were able to leave our luggage there whilst we went out. Check-in was easy, very pleasant staff. We had no complaints about our...

Upon the welcome, the staff made us feel valued, in particular Sarah the Duty Manager. Sarah quickly attended to our check in, as this was a Birthday trip (notified via booking app), Sarah kindly upgraded our room, also when we returned later, we had a welcome surprise of a bottle of wine and Fruit. Also a lovely display of towel...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
