We recently stayed for a week at Crowne Plaza's Kensington location in London and our experience was wonderful. Hotel Despite its name, the hotel felt like a boutique (I say this is in a good way). The look was very modern and attention to detail was everywhere. Everyone on the staff from the concierge to housekeeping were attentive and friendly....

Wifi: free, rooms: clean, space: comfortable, towels: huge, location: great. This is the central location! Tube was just around the corner and market just across the street. We had three hotel staff helping use with loading our luggage in the car on the way out to the airport today. Three! The (orange) chair and side table in room were very...

The worst hotel we've stayed in in London. We booked 2 rooms, a deluxe and a club room, since there was limited availability. The hotel claims the "deluxe" room is "one of its largest in the hotel". In fact, this is the smallest room we've been in. There are just 2 beds and a desk with a chair where there...

Once again our family stayed at this hotel 5th to the 8th August 2013. Service, ambience, cleanliness and breakfast excellent. Room overlooking garden provided to us after our originally requested garden room was occupied. Full marks on this. Must do something regarding the shaving mirror in the bathroom. Impossible to use! Tube to everywhere on the doorstep as are bus...

Stayed here for a week . Great location. The rooms for London standards were decently sized. The location was the best part. The bathrooms were also nice. The breakfast spread was good and was included in the room price. Had a meal in the restaurant one night and the food was quite good. Of course in London there are many...

We stayed a week at the end of July as a family of 2 adults, 2 children and a baby in a suite. The room was fantastic. Very comfortable beds and the room was well furnished. It was very hot during our stay but the air conditioning worked really well and kept the room cool. On arrival the hotel had...

My wife and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for a night in August; we were upgraded as it was my wifes birthday and they put flowers and a cake in the room for her which was really nice. So nice I was tempted to take credit for it! The room which was excellent had everything we would have wanted,...

The was by far the best room we have stayed in whilst in London on weekend breaks. The slippers and enormous towels along with the dressing gowns were all a lovely touch. But to have an umbrella in the closet to use, the size of the TV and the internet facilities were simply great. To add to this your helpful...

The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and spacious and the hotel is in a nice neighborhood. But the most surprising thing for us was the large secluded garden where the kids could play, while the parents could sit down and relax. I will also have to mention the staff which was very helpful and kind throughout our stay....

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
