This hotel is in a great location, right across from Gloucester Rd tube station. Plus, the back side of the hotel has a beautiful park like setting, with an old church, super quiet! A well kept secret in bustling London. The deluxe room with two DOUBLE beds (rare in the U.K.) was well worth the extra money...very comfortable. The staff...

Wow! What a wonderful hotel with fantastic staff! The room upgrade was beautiful, and though initially worried about potential street noise... we could hear a pin drop the room was so quiet. The AC as with some other comments was too hot (despite tinkering) and it caused us both sleep issues, however that can't detract from what a lovely hotel...

We were welcomed in a friendly yet professional manner at reception. Our room was newly refurbished to a high standard, and although the room was on the small size it was beautifully appointed. The room was extremely hot on our arrival and we couldn't operate the air conditioning, a phone call to reception was followed almost immediately with a service...

You couldn't ask for a better location. Close to the tube, with easy access to Heathrow and Gatwick, parks, shopping and museums. The area surrounding the hotel has lots of nice cafes and restaurants, a Waitrose accross the road and Partridges up the road. One feels safe in the area any time of day or night. My room key didn't...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
