Great location for Albert Hall, minutes walk from Gloucester Road tube. 2nd stay here room was alot smaller than on my 1st stay but only a base for sleeping main thing is bed and bathroom both spotlessly clean so no complaints and will stay again. Staff friendly and happy.

To be honest I was a bit nervous because the price was so reasonable but it was great. I was in 302, which is a small (roughly 18'x6" with a high ceiling) twin-bedded room looking out on a utility shaft. The room contained just the basics but exactly what you need for a short stay. It was clean, comfortable, quiet...

We chose this hotel because of its excellent location near to the Royal Albert Hall. We did not realise just how small the room was! A shoebox or maybe a cubbyhole would best describe it! There was a tiny bathroom with no shelf for toilet bags. On top of that, the noise of the traffic all night from the road...

Came here with my 4 yo. and stayed for 4 nights. Room was clean but some details were lacking and there was some mold in the bathroom. There was no toilet brush. Wifi was dodgy but OK for us, would not choose this hotel for work though! Bed was comfortable, linen was clean and there were a lot of pillows...

Stayed here on a Friday night after going to the Royal Albert Hall with my partner. Convenient location for the museums and the Albert Hall but it is on a main road and has poor quality glazing which does very little to keep the traffic volumes lower than if you were outside. However, rooms are clean and functional and the...

My partner and I stayed in a double room for one night and the room was larger than expected after reading the reviews and the location was perfect. Room was clean and staff were friendly, couldn't ask for much more. Would definitely stay again.

We were very nervous about our stay due to reading reviews on here but we had no reason to be. The staff were very friendly on our arrival. Our room was on the lower level, it had a double and a single bed with enough room for us all to get ready with no issues. It was very clean and...

We stayed here after wanting a hotel near to the Royal Albert Hall for a comedy gig and for this purpose the hotel is perfectly placed. It is a former Georgian town like many in the area so is impressive from the exterior. Our room 504 on the top floor was very small with room for a comfortable double bed...

We arrived to see a show and went for a few drinks after so wanted to check in late. It was probably after 12 midnight when we got there and they where more than accommodating. The room was very large for four of us as it was a family room. It was very clean with everything we needed for one...

I am staying in a small single room for 7 nights, it is very noisy as facing the main road, hear the 'woo-woo-woo' traffice day and night. I got ill for days not getting better because couldn't have good rest. Spoke to the staff 'you should let us know and we will change the room.', but if you know the...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
