The Bayswater Inn is like many other hotels in this price range in London: very old and with that horrible fitted carpet. We were given a spacious triple room (we were only two people) on the ground floor. Although there was a window, we had no external views, we coud only see a large pipe, like somekind of metal chimney...

I would not recommend thiis hotel to a friend, the staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful and did not speak good english. Only one of the staff, a latvian man was friendly and welcoming. i had to ask for towels to be sent to my room three times before i eventually got them, i was told they were very busy even...

I'm Polish and I'm personally in love with Notting Hill which in my opinion is the best part of London. I stayed in Bayswater Inn during my business trip while attending Sourcing Summit in London...didn't stay there much because we'd leave the hotel early morning and come back late in the evening. I'm convinced that BI is an ideal proposal...

My 18 year old daughter on her first night of a month's travel arrived here to be told she did not have a booking and that they were full - she had booked and fully paid for the room 7 weeks earlier! After them finally accepting her reservation and payment proof she was moved to their 'sister hotel' with a...

The Bayswater Inn Hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!! It is clearly a low end budget establishment, which is not what their website would have you believe. I will list the reasons below: *The hotel is smelly and dirty *The "beds" are metal framed camp beds with thin hard mattresses - almost impossible to sleep on,...

A very disappointing place to stay. The rooms and hotel generally were in severe need of a make-over. It seemed to be stuck somewhere in the 1980s. The Continental breakfast was bare minimum and when I came down at 8o'clock there was no brown bread left. The cereal was out in plates instead of 'help yourself'. The bathroom had a...

Many of the staff were off-hand, giving the impression that you were an unwelcome distraction (although one guy did smile when he said he hoped we had had a nice stay). On check-in we were handed a crude photocopy of the hotel 'rules', adding to the 'social security' vibe. Don't get your hopes up about the 'free breakfast' - it's...

This Hotel was in a relatively good location close to the subway with a great pub down the road. The rooms were very very small, We had one room with three beds which left no room for our suitcases. The bathroom was the size or an aeroplane bathroom. The staff were quite friendly and helpful.

If you have no choice, then go for this Hotel, too cramoed room for you to fit in alongwith your super bag and if you've got a kid too fit in then. God help you. The location was the only advantage else the hotel would not be the one I would like to return again to. Rather choose to stay...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
