At a great location, with a nice bar on the 12th floor, but the room was very basic, not particularly comfortable, provided no feeling of luxury, and is grossly overpriced because of this. We were very dissapointed

Location is the main attraction of this hotel. Nothing particularly special about the hotel or the rooms. Service was good. Extremely busy in the breakfast restaurant at the weekend, but you are warned and guidance is given to allow you to work out the quieter times. Overall a good hotel and great location. Worth a visit to the sky lounge,...

Almost 30 of us stayed here after our work's Christmas party last Friday and the accommodation was excellent. Juraj and Daniel really looked after us in the run-up to the event to make sure that every detail of our booking was captured correctly and their extra help booking taxis for the night really made a difference. The hotel location was...

Loved this hotel especially the location as its literally five minutes walk from Tower Hill station and close to the Tower of London,Tower Bridge and St Katherines dock. We were warmly welcomed and given a delicious chocolate cookie. We were lucky there were no queues for check in. I asked for a room with a decent view but was told...

Large lobby/atrium that is very welcoming. Easy check in, plenty of staff on hand and a great room that has adequate facilities. Room was clean, comfortable bed and an immaculate bathroom with a great hot shower. Easy access to underground and mainline station. For a fantastic view of the City and Tower Bridge visit the Skybar on the 12th floor.

Chose hotel for interesting location and ease of access to O2 Arena Tennis by riverboat. Cost for 2 nights, inc breakfast, was as expected for a mid/upper range hotel in London. Check-in was quick, easy and helpful, but that could be partly down to the timing, mid afternoon instead of early evening. The room was comfortably spacious with a full...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
