The location is great, 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station, on nice street. Staff very helpful and friendly. But the room is very small, even for London standards, so be aware. The main complain was fact that room was cold at night, no heating in bathroom, so you have to keep door open otherwise it is freezing there. Room was...

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your mainly positive thoughts following your recent visit. Although there are some rooms that have no radiators in the bathroom the radiators in the guest bedrooms are all in good working order and throughout the winter period this is the first complaint we have received regarding the heating. It should be said that complaints of...

This building is an older one, as are all buildings in the Paddington area. At times, the age does show but that should not be too much of a factor. The staff were wonderful, always kind and willing to assist. The breakfast is an English style breakfast, but it is served super fast; the kitchen staff always smiling. Location is...

If you want a double bed and be able to open two suitcases, don't stay here. The room was tiny and the furnishing was dated. The bed wasn't comfortable and the man with grey hair at reception needed to put a smile on his face, not very welcoming. The location was good, close to nice restaurants and Paddington station. The...

Very nice reception with an useful luggage room. Cool and kind staff. The elevator brings you in the basement for the breakfast. The bed is pretty comfy but you can hear some noises from other rooms if the guests are not so well-educated, but it's worth it

We stayed here for 2 nights. Whilst in London we visited Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and did some shopping in Regents Street and Oxford Street. The hotel is ideally situated for both, just a short walk. Our room was perfect for the 4 of us, myself, my Husband and our 2 small children. The staff were all really friendly...

Stayed 3 nights from the 10th through the 12th of October A bit of history, my first stay at the Mitre House was back in 1984 and for 32 years the Mitre House has become my home away from home when I am in London. So what has kept me coming back all these years? It’s really simple, very clean...

Thanks Greg, Having guests respond in this way makes us truly humble and stokes our passion in this ever changing industry. The "beds and bums" philosophy of modern day hoteliers who are increasingly controlled by corporate accountants leave independent family run hotels in the minority. Whilst recognizing the value of instant choices in choosing accommodation afforded by the internet and...

Very nice staff. The breakfast was full English breakfast without a menu/ choice. The room I got initially was too cramped. Then I changed to one of the suit rooms which was very roomy and beautiful. Overall the experience was wonderful. By the way forgot to tell about the goodness of breakfast, it was just good. Just good. We could...

Good for the price. It's an old hotel but in a way is charming. My friend and I stay at the Basement floor on the LG3 room, DO NOT STAY IN THIS ROOM! You can hear everything of the upper floor. We didn't have a good night sleep because of the noise, apart from that the hotel is fine. Not...
