Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

I've stayed in a dozen budget hotels around the Hyde Park area in the past couple of years and I'm pleased to say that Lord's Hotel is one of the nicer ones. I recently stayed 2 nights in the main hotel building, and my double room and bathroom were nicer than I'd anticipated.

Dear Guest Your theft happened AFTER you checked out of your room. When you checked in, you were given a welcome letter saying, among other things, that you could leave your luggage free of charge and unlocked in our lounge or paying £3.00, you could lock it in our luggage room. Yet, you chose to leave it unlocked in the lounge. Furthermore, on the lounge door there is a notice which says that the hotel does not take responsibility for any loss, damage or theft of personal belongings stored there. You did not read it. You and another guest had their bags stolen at the same time not the day before. It's the first time that it has happened in our history and we were as shocked as you. We take security seriously but on this occasion, the decision to leave your belongings in a public area was yours. Nevertheless, we are sorry for your misfortune.

Arrived late, was suprised to find we were staying two street away - same hotel but just a building with more rooms (no staff/no restaurant etc...). Room was grim, cold, toilet was like a caravan- small. Slept ok - was quiet- decent area Wouldn’t go back

I don’t say the above lightly, my reviews I consider fair or else what’s the point to tripadviser. Also the room wasn’t expensive, but still, standards.... Booked last minute, took a chance on the newer reviews here and some were ok. Booked a single by mistake, rang and

It is in a good location, good restaurant and coffee shops, tube close by. The bathroom was just a bit larger than an airplane bathroom. The room was very dingy and damp, the carpet was definitely not vacuumed, it was not a very nice three nights. They really should spend some
