Our annual works social was held here in February and well over 100 of us were booked in for a ball, an overnight stay and breakfast the next morning. The room: The lighting was so appalling in the room I struggled to put my make up on. The full length mirror had no lighting whatsoever and the lighting int he...

The Marriott Grosvenor Square combines first-class service, delightful rooms and excellent facilities with a brilliant location - just a couple of minutes from the heart of Oxford Street on foot. From the moment we checked in until we left, we were met with friendly, courteous, professional service. For instance, we asked for a mini fridge and then some extra pillows:...

I have eaten in Maze grill many times beofre and the food is always exceptional. However this was my first stay at the hotel and i was very underwhelmed by the size and quality of the room. Very dated and very small but a premium price. Cant fault the location as its slap in the middle of the busy shopping...

They have a different owner of the main bar vs the general bar, which closes early, which means you can't take drinks between the two.... So buying a new drink in the general bar just prior to closing means you can't take it in to the longer opening bar! They also stop you from picking up a few extra chairs/stools...

Dear KevandJo Thank you for taking the time to submit a review on TripAdvisor. This hotel is really well positioned, just off of the busiest shopping area in London, and a few minutes from the United States Embassy and Bond Street tube station. Service in the hotel was good throughout. The Executive Lounge was particularly well served. We stayed in an Executive Room (upgraded through Marriott points). The room was spacious with two bathrooms...

Although the staff was very solicitous, service was generally quite poor. Sheets were cleaned only once every three days, unless requested. Dirty glasses and cups are not cleaned or replaced, as the staff are instructed to assume that guests may be saving that last little bit of cold coffee for purposes unknown. Guests, however, are not told to empty cups,...

Great Hotel very close to Oxford Street. Rates are acceptable compared to other 5star hotels in the area, rooms are in a nice state and even the cheapest one makes you feel comfortable. Internet is SUPER FAST, therefore it makes working a lot easier compared to many other hotels. Sometimes the hotel gets very busy due to banquets or events...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
