We booked 10 rooms at the Park Lane Mews for our team that were attending an awards events at a nearby hotel. Initial impressions of the hotel with its reception and bar area are good, however, that is were it stopped. The rooms are very dated, heading repairs and not what we had hoped for. Plug in radiators provided the...

The hotel has a great location, but unfortunately the hotel is really tired, rooms are very small, beds are not comfortable. If you are only looking for a very basic hotel with a good location, this could work.

Pre booked 3 rooms for 6 men who where going to the England vs Scotland match on the 11th November. On arrival the hotel looked very nice from the outside (beside the cigarette bins overflowing) The reception area is small but the staff where fantastic, had a great laugh with them, they couldn't have been nicer. After check in it...

There is something seriously wrong with the star ratings in this country if this hotel is regarded as 4 star. The location is fantastic but the room was average at best. A plug in radiator in the middle of the room, a shower that dribbled out, tiles falling off, a chair with various stains on it. I know central London...

Tired washed out hotel. Location superb but sadly hotel needs redone top to bottom. Room smelled strange. Plug in heater as radiator obviously not working. Bath plug would not seal so a bath was a quick affair. Huge stain in middle of carpet. Curtains dingy and woodwork bashed. Hall doors outside rooms looked as if a stampede had passed by....

The room was very small but comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. Plugs were a nightmare as they had been fitted too close to the table top and you therefore couldn't plug anything in ! Location wise it was excellent but quite noisy at the front of the building.

If you're only looking for location, it's perfect. Otherwise think twice because it's definitely not a 4 star hotel as per central European standards. In Germany it would not get more than 3. Completely out of date, furniture and floor rugs dating back to 1970s, wallpaper stained with coffee or curry, whatever. Rust behind the water taps in the bathroom....

Our stay at this hotel was somewhat disappointing to say the least - an excellent location, and perfect for all places in Mayfair. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We arrived at about 14.45 and the twin room we had reserved was not ready, but were offered a double room (416). All was fine until we got into bed - the mattress...

Positives - it is in in a great location off Hyde Park, and for London, and Mayfair the place is relatively cheap. That is where the good stops. The place is otherwise pretty grim. Falling to pieces and smells. Would not recommend this if you are staying in London.

Nice hotel handy for Park Lane. Room a little tired and bathroom very small but fine for one night. TV in need of an upgrade. Bed rather hard. Room quiet overnight which is a huge bonus. Breakfast lovely nice and hot and a good choice. Staff pleasant.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
