We chose this hotel as it was within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the staff were nothing but pleasant, helpful and courteous at all times. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and we could not ask for a better place to stay for this special trip. We mostly saw...

Considering its location the price is amazing value. The check in staff were friendly and kind. Agreed the rooms are dated even a bit scruffy but they are very clean, with tea and coffee facilities, reasonable wifi (one device only) and a good shower. Nice quality toiletries too but no shower cap or hairdryer (but usually hotel hairdryers are rubbish)....

No problems checking in and the staff were wonderful, hotel clean and easy to get too, room was small and quite tired looking everything was just old or slightly worn, bathroom very small but functional, tea and coffee making in room and bed comfy.

The reception manager was appalling. He was calling his staff fat and told him that he must lose weight. He constantly interrupted people when they were talking to guests. The worst was when he turned around to a customer saying that he was a disgusting horrible man...The man was requesting a refund as he had been charged twice, also he...

The Park Lane Mews Hotel is a pleasant hotel tucked away behind Park Lane. the decor is traditional but it was a little tired in places. The room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds and pillows!

I will not return to this hotel. Both the check in and check out were very rough and coarse, and unsmiling and disrespectful. The whole experience was ruined by the receptionists. I have yet to be spoken like this by receptionists anywhere.

We stayed for 3 nights - excellent location - very friendly and helpful staff. The room was perfect for our needs and all in working order. The breakfast was first class. We loved being able to walk through Shepherds Market, Piccadilly and on to theatre land, Trafalgar Square and the museums. It is just one stop on the tube to...

Upon arrival, trip advisor over booked the rooms. The manager gave us two singles as a double was not available. And, they did not charge us for the extra room that night. Besides a great room, great staff and a great location to the tube (underground), the staff helped with different tourist locations and the best times to schedule them. The...

My room was very nice, the pillows very confortables, also the bathroom and the amenities . I enjoyed very much the breakfast. But what I liked best was all the help Paula gave me to solve the problems I was having because of the accident my daughter had during the marathon. I really appreciated it.

Mix up at check in, but mistake was recognized and we were moved to a King room the following day. Stayed four nights and breakfast buffet was included. The breakfast was very good, with hot items (eggs, ham) along with cereal and pastries. Having never stayed in London before, can't really compare rooms, but did seem old, with peeling wallpaper...

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
