Our stay in London was ruined because of this hotel. I believe they gave our room type away and then insisted it was our fault and Expedia's fault that we didn't get the rooms we had reserved. The staff, including the Manager, do not understand the term "twin". Please be aware, they will tell you a twin is a single,...

Dear Guest, Thank you for providing your feedback on your recent stay. I am very disappointed to read your feedback. Two single rooms were booked with us (the confirmation you provided also states two rooms for one person in each). The hotel honoured the bookings that we had received. The hotel was fully booked and therefore we were not able...

Hi,, This hotel was well suited for our 1 nights stay. We wanted to explore and visit Covent garden. The hotel is situated ideally on the fringe and is excellent for local bars and restaurants. we had an amazing evening at a Moroccan just around the corner. As for the room, tastefully decorated all though a little small but maybe...

Booked a single room which was tiny but clean. Room was located on a landing so either had to go up or down stairs to access as not on the same level as elevator which was difficult with luggage. Room also had the main door then immediately after another push door which made it difficult to take luggage through. Understand...

Room was very small but OK for short stay. Room was very quiet at night with no noise and bed very comfortable. The staff were great and the breakfast good. Overall good value given the great central location.

This hotel was the most expensive hotel that we paid on our trip around Europe, $170 CDN. Good thing it was only for one night! We booked two rooms via Hotwire and once we arrived there was 3 people waiting at the front desk. The female reception told us that they didn't realize we were together and that they are...

The smaller room sizes are more than made up for by the superb location. For starters, the hotel is on the same tube line as Heathrow Airport (Piccadilly Line) - get off at Gloucester Road Station and the hotel is in sight. Across the side street from the Gloucester Road Station are a Starbucks, a Paul bakery, and other restaurants....

Have to say despite reading some of the comments on here we were happy with our stay. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and tidy with modern fittings. Yes the rooms were lets say bijou but seriously what do you expect for this sort of budget? We only wanted somewhere to sleep and have breakfast, which I have to...

In December 2012 we book flight and hotel for May 2013. We are not the keenest day tripper. We also prefer time to ourselves and for launching and reading. Ok, the rooms are " London size" ( compact and bijou) but this hotel has a lot going for it. Great rates, excellent staff, good breakfasts and best of all right next to a major underground station. Some hotels around here change twice as much and don't offer what The Cromwell does. Well done Best Western.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
