Decent Holiday Inn experience located close to Gloucester Road tube. the rooms are unremarkable and a bit small, but I had a high floor and didn't hear much street noise. the area has plenty of restaurants, shops, etc and public transport is good. Found the place a bit too busy for my taste - always waiting for the lift, etc....

I have stayed a few times at this hotel on business and will likely do so again. It's what you would expect of a large hotel in its class - all the basics, like a comfortable bed, small fridge and a decent restaurant, are there. It is beautifully located, just around the corner from the Gloucester Road tube. And the...

We stayed 3nights mid April. Reception staff were quick to check us in and out, with a friendly smile. Our room was very clean comfortable and indeed very quiet. Because we had our complete stay in London fully planned, we had no time to try out breakfast or eve meals so cannot comment on that. The hotel has several lifts...

Nice hotel, good location. Close to tube station and grocery stores. But the biggest problem is there is no free wifi. Despite the advertising online that there is free wifi at public areas. 16 pounds for 24 hours of wifi is ridiculous.

This is a hotel that caters for business types. You will find that almost all of the airline crews form Heathrow stays here. Breakfast is good but expensive. Very good service except for one very rude person on checkout which told people queuing in a very rude manner he is closed and they have to wait for others to serve...

In the past years I stayed many weekends in the hotel because of its location and the consistent quality. My recent weekend was in April. The room is not large but that is quite common in major European cities. For me it is no problem as I you use the room only to sleep in. The room was clean, had...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
