I stayed here for a conference in April, conference facilities were fine, but the room was disappointing. My room was very cold when I arrived so I put the heater on. Controls to turn the heating up were old, broken and the system was incredibly noisy. Managed to ensure the temp was on max and left the room to warm...

Stayed here on a work trip, and after staying at the Millennium Baileys around the corner was pretty disappointed. The rooms are fine size wise but well worn and in need of an upgrade, bed was comfy, breakfast was great and the lobby is very nice. Advertises a 24 hour gym, got up at 530 one morning to discover it...

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Gloucester a couple of weeks ago. We booked a Club Room and this was nice and spacious although a bit worn. The Lounge was nice for evening cocktails and canapes but if you want to have a hot breakfast go to the downstairs restaurant. The breakfast food was luke warm in lounge....

My husband and I had a special weekend away for our 30th, pearl anniversary, stayed in room 531, and was happy overall with it. very clean, bed comfy, had breakfast once which was great. Must admit hotel needs new windows as was very cold, and too much noise from outside. The staff we encountered were very nice, smiley and very...

We stayed here as a family of 5 adults. We were upgraded to club rooms by our booking company. We found the staff very friendly and we thought our rooms were clean and spacious. We ate breakfast both mornings and the choice is very good. We would stay again.

stayed here for two nights. Requested a quiet room which we got. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Good sized room with good bathroom and storage space. Really good value for central London and less than a minute away from tube station. We breakfasted around the corner .

I regularly visit the hotel and in particularly enjoy frequenting the Bugis Street restaurant. The cooking is of a high standard and most of the dishes are fairly authentic - almost as good as "back home". The service too is always extremely friendly and attentive. Special mention to Jacky who's friendly demeanour and attention to detail will make your visit...

Good location, ugly building, average breakfast. We were more or less ready for that. We read in reviews that the hotel is pretty worn out, but didn't care a lot since we were coming just for 2 nights. Unfortunately worn out means poor soundproof, and this is very disappointing in combination with a very loud disco inside the hotel. Music...

This is the second time I have stayed here. It is very conveniently located a minute's walk from Gloucester Road station. Kensington High Street and museums are also within reasonable walking distance. The room was large and there was a bath (always a plus point). There was plenty of storage, usual tea/coffee making, fridge, safe and free wifi. I found...

This is my third trip to London. We won't stay anywhere else. We stayed in the family room. Very nice and spacious. I don't believe it's available through online booking so you would need to call to book it. Great breakfast as well. The hotel is located across the street from the Gloucester underground station. VERY CONVENIENT! We take the...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
