This is a lovely hotel located on the banks of the Thames close to tube and train stations for easy access around the capital.
The rooms are standard size for London (on the small size if you’re used to US offerings) but are beautifully presented....More
A lovely lobby welcomes you with an open log fire. We (my sister, mother and me) were directed to a light and airy lounge for afternoon tea. It was one of the presents given to our mother for her 90th birthday. We had the most...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

We found that everything was within walking distance. Buckingham Palace is only 10 minutes. Westminster Bridge/ buses/ tube station all within 10 minutes and it's a beautiful walk. We even walked to Harrods from our hotel, however that was a bit of a walk, approx 35 minutes.
