I usually don't write reviews on hotels I've stayed at, but this hotel really exceeded my expectations. The room was extremely comfortable, the staff were great and the location was spot on. I could not fault it.

The hotel’s location is just wonderful. The hotel makes a good impression, very compact, comfortable, beautifully and tastefully decorated. My room was on the third floor. With a street view. However, the room was quiet. The room was very cute, small in size, but quite cozy, with good furniture. There was everything I needed, fridge, kettle, iron, microwave and even...

This location suited our plans for the visit and as it was only one night stay, I booked a double 'small room'. I was pleasantly surprised on being shown the room that it was bigger than the 'king-sized' room I'd stayed in the week before. It was immaculately clean and had an interactive TV, microwave, fridge and 'free phone', which...

I recently stayed at the Hotel Moonlight in London, which is located in a quiet street just 2 mins walk from Earls Court. I had not heard of this hotel before and when I enquired I was told it had only opened in August 2016. The hotel receptionist was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and she showed me to...

I recently stayed on this hotel for 3 nights and I can't say how wonderful our experience was! First of all, the location is great for the underground. We got off about a block from the hotel. The streets around the hotel contain a lot of restaurants and shopping, but it was not overly crowded or loud. We took a...

We stayed here for a night for an evening at the Royal Albert Hall. It's about 25 minutes walk from there, in a quiet residential location well off the main road. Friendly check in. We'd paid for a small double but they kindly upgraded us and our room was lovely. Great service in a good location for the V&A and...

The Moonlight is truly an good option for London if one does not wish spend a small fortune on hotels. It has an excellent location with direct access from Heathrow on the tube to Earl's Court and a few more minutes walk. Earl's Court is very handy to get around the city. The area looks somewhat upscale but not posh....

I booked this hotel not knowing anything about it (other than the favourable reviews it has received on here). The location, approximately 3 minutes or so away from Earls Court Station is absolutely perfect and is tucked away in a quiet road. My check in was fabulous, I had arrived very early and was told that my room was already...

My adult daughter and I stayed for 6 nights. We were very pleased. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bathroom was spotless. Microwave and refrigerator were a bonus. One real highlight was the available mobile phone. Since we were travelling from Canada and reliant on free wifi, this phone was an enormous asset for finding our way around and for making...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
