Loved the Victorian house charm of this hotel. Just 5 min from Earls Court tube station, this nicely renovated building kept its historical charm incorporating modern, eco-friendly decor in the bath. WiFi was included as well as an adequate continental breakfast served in the garden room. A mini refrigerator, hot tea & coffee, and high quality large-screen TV were a...

The positives: Friendly and helpful staff, very close to metro (1 min walk), funky look. Continental breakfast was reasonable and breakfast staff very welcoming and prompt. Has a big screen TV with HDMI input but need to bring your own cables. Lovely balcony. The negatives: Small room! Can hear people in rooms near you (thin walls), bathroom very small and...

I've stayed in some truly horrible hotels around Earls Court in the past, so Henley House was like a breath of fresh air. Public areas a little tatty but rooms recently refurbished and well appointed. My room was at the front with a giant sash window and view over the park. Will definitely try and stay here again.

For a few years, this has been our preferred London stay. A doll house well located in Kensington, within two minute walk from Earl's Court tube station, facing a great park and offering a variety of little restaurants in the area, this small hotel used to be a home for us. Unfortunately, the owner decided to make some renovations: the...

We appreciate that not everyone likes change and that it impossible to please everyone. Thankfully almost all our regular guests (as well as new ones) have spoken very highly of our refurbishment which is much appreciated by all the staff & management. Just to clarify, the room sizes have not been altered in the slightest!

Breakfast on the small side though. Limited choice. If they renovate the breakfast area and get a better variety and facilities, i would give it 5 dots. We had room 33 and it was really lovely, brand new, well designed, clean and comfortable - can't rate it highly enough. Just need the rest of the hotel to come up to...

We booked this hotel for a three night stay with my sister, as we wanted a nice place close to the city centre but not too central itself, since we were trying to avoid noise. The hotel is located only a few minutes away from Earl's Court Underground station, served by the Circle and District lines, and close to plenty...

I was initially prepared for the worst for a small tiny 9 Sqm room but to my surprise, I totally enjoyed my stay at henley house hotel. The room, though only 9 Sqm for a single bedroom, is very well designed unlike some other chain hotels I have stayed before in London. No claustrophobic feeling but just good enough space...

I stayed at the Henley House for 1 night as I was coming into London for Christmas shopping. It was impossible to find as all the other hotels along the area had signs and looked "legitimate", however, this one had no signs, construction going on the front portch and looked like it might be someone's apartment buidling. I checked in...

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Just to clarify a few points you raised: The fascia of the hotel was being completely refurbished at the time of your stay, hence the reason why all the signage was not in place. All our rooms have very high quality bespoke furniture as many comments highlight. To...

Most of the redecoration of the common areas is now finished, and it has been very nicely done. While the rooms and bathrooms are on the small side (I'm a big guy, so found the bathroom particularly tight), they are attractive and intelligently designed. Water pressure in the shower is good but I would have liked more shelf space for...

Small comfortable hotel, unfortunately public areas still being renovated. Had to fight our way in through scaffolding, steam cleaners and workmen. Reception very small, especially when shared with industrial sized cleaning equipment. Staff very friendly, rooms very clean but lighting could be better especially above mirrors. Dining room compact and can get congested around the entrance, as this is where...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
