I arrived in London on a 30 hour flight from Australia via Singapore and had booked a deluxe room at Baileys and paid for it in February online. The problem that arose was that deluxe rooms are only on certain parts of the hotel and after a renovation this is not clear on the website Having stayed in the hotel...

We were in London for our first concert at the Royal Albert Hall, The Bailey's is ideally located for this, and the Kensington area. Our Deluxe room was very nice, spacious and well furnished. The hotel is traditional and well maintained, with lovely staff (in the main). The bar is good; we enjoyed a few lunch time beers there, but...

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. We were offered an upgrade at check in which we took and changed to a junior suite - city gent suite. The room was amazing with the biggest bed ever! Clean and plush decoration and soft furnishings. Bathroom was beautiful and shower was amazing. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and in keeping...

We have used this hotel loads of times now and love almost everything about it. The only thing we can fault is that if the bar isn't busy they will close it early. They say you can use the bar of their sister hotel Millenium Gloschester but it's down the road and not as nice as the Baileys Bar. If...

The hotel is across the road from Glouster Road tube station which makes getting there easy as the tube is on the circle, piccadilly and district lines. Check-in was easy. Room keys are plastic credit cards so keep away from your mobile phones and any chip and pin cards like your oyster card or you will need to go to...

Had afternoon tea and bubbles in the Olives restaurant before a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Excellent quality and very reasonably priced considering the location. Sandwiches were fresh and fillings were well seasoned. The scones had choc chips rather than fruit but were as light as anything and really delicious. The other cakes were also equally delicious especially the...

Our family of 2 children and 2 adults had a good stay at The Bailey's. The hotel is nicely decorated, both rooms and common areas. We had a family room with 2 double beds, and the room was nice and spacious. A good breakfast buffet, which includes a full English breakfast, is served in the hotel's restaurant. The only thing...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
