The Bailey's Hotel London enjoys a prime location that guests often appreciate for its proximity to transportation and local attractions. Many visitors are charmed by the hotel's elegant atmosphere and consistently high cleanliness standards, while the service stands out for staff friendliness and professionalism.
However, opinions on room comfort and value for money diverge, with some finding the rooms spacious and others feeling they are cramped and not worth the price. Despite these mixed reviews, the hotel's overall ambiance and location continue to draw travelers.

Stayed for three nights while in London on business and highly recommended! Fantastic location, steps from restaurants, fast food, pubs, a Tesco Express supermarket, and perhaps most importantly the Gloucester Road tube station from which you can access all of London. Service was friendly and impeccable throughout, from lobby porters to check-in to housekeeping. There was always someone cleaning or painting in the hallways, a sign of good maintenance. I booked on the hotel website and got a small discount, and there was also an option to check in as early as 11am for a small extra fee which is a nice touch for overnight travelers like me.
I had booked a Classic Room with One Double Bed which is no doubt on the small side, wide enough for a small desk on one side of the bed and the wall on the other. There is no sofa or place to sit other than at the desk. As a frequent visitor to London I know that most rooms in the cheaper category are this size especially in older hotels, and it was fine for me as a single traveler who is there pretty much just to sleep. It could have been a bit cramped for two people though. Importantly, the bathroom was a good size with room to maneuver and there was plenty of hot water with excellent water pressure and nice thick towels. The room was outfitted with a kettle (no coffee maker but then I don't drink coffee), safe and fridge.
Breakfast is a hot buffet with eggs, meats, cereal, etc. in the main dining room. The food was standard fare and if it hadn't been included in my room rate I might have skipped it by the third day. The waitstaff was excellent.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay at the Bailey's. I would definitely return, though I would book a bigger room unless I'm solo.

I had a great night's stay in the Bailey's Hotel. It was beautifully lit up when I arrived early evening and the reception staff where very helpful with my case and location to park. The hotel looks exactly as the pictures and is well situated to take the tube from Gloucester Road or vist the National History Museum. It was a cold January day and I was so pleased that my room was very warm throughout my stay and the hot water from the shower was spot on. The Christian Lacroix shower gel smelt divine. There was no noise disturbance and I had a comfortable night's sleep after my evening event. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here for four nights in early October. Loved the traditional feel and, as others have said, great location with tube station across the street and several restaurants in the area from fast food to pubs to a steak house. Room was comfortable with great ambience , probably the nicest one in many a year. We did have a larger room and rate was reasonable given location ( London) , room size and hotel location within the city. Breakfast food choice was quite good. The breakfast room serves as a lounge/bar in the evening and has an abbreviated menu for dinner should you decide not to dine out. Here is the one notable downside - the noise level from the background music in the lounge made it more of a night club rather than a place for a quiet drink or chat. It precluded us using it and the noise level was high even around 6-7 pm and intruded onto the main lobby. Nonetheless this is now our hotel of choice for London.

The staff at The Bailey’s Hotel, from the reception staff (special thanks to Sumina, who greeted us on arrival) to the concierges and all other members of the staff with whom we came into contact were extremely pleasant, efficient, and always quick to offer help or useful tips and recommendations.
The hotel is in an unassuming but stately building, elegant both inside and out, with an interior in traditional style, beautifully appointed and meticulously maintained.
The hotel’s location on Gloucester Road is excellent with extremely easy access to the Underground and hop-on hop-off buses, both literally within steps of the entrance, and within walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants, the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and Hyde Park.
Our room was a really comfortable size for the four of us. It was nicely laid out, beautifully appointed and meticulously maintained, with a modern bathroom and shower and two comfortable double beds, and a view overlooking Gloucester Road. Our stay, though regrettably brief (two days), was a luxurious treat. We would recommend The Bailey’s without hesitation.

What a lovely, welcoming hotel and staff. Wonderful location in the city; quiet and walkable neighborhood with underground station directly across street, excellent independent local coffee shops within 3 blocks, a few good restaurants within a few blocks. Stayed for 7 nights with my adult daughter. I requested 2 twin beds in a deluxe double room on an upper floor. Nice to have separate beds, and they were wider and longer than standard twin beds in the US. Heated towel rack was really nice to have. Plenty of lighting and outlets for electric and USB. We were on the 5th (top) floor and it was so nice and quiet. No noise heard from neighboring rooms. Room was very clean, beds comfortable and firm. We requested staff to check on the room heating since it was pretty cool at arrival and even several hours after turning thermostat up and being gone from room. The staff arrived promptly and determined the system was set on cooling instead of heat, corrected that and left a portable electric heater in the room to help warm it quicker. Early check-in (11 am) was available for £40 and I decided to request it since our flight arrived at 7 am. They were able to get us into our room at 9 am, which was really nice (staying in February probably made that possible too.) I would definitely stay there again.
Try Elixis coffee and HJEM coffee, both on Gloucester Road within 3 blocks from hotel. Really excellent bakery items, coffee, matcha.

We stayed at Bailey’s for one night on a very recent visit to the theatre. The room although I had upgraded to Deluxe was very corporate and basic. In the middle of the duvet cover was a stain that looked very much like either a burn or bird droppings. I did point that out to reception and it was changed immediately. The bed was very big ( two singles together) the mattress was hard. ( you could feel the ridge down the middle of the bed) certainly not a Hypnos bed. The tv insisted on having sub titles on every channel. The window only opened with force ( we were only on floor 2) and the curtains didn’t pull back on one side. The self emptying bath was novel. Breakfast was terrible. I asked for coffee, that was bitter and served with cold milk. ( At £40 per person I would expect a pot of coffe) I changed to tea, however I had to ask twice for the tea and then the milk. The cooked breakfast was barely warm which in a buffet it should be above 63 degrees so as not to make you ill. The food looked very unappetizing. The orange juice was not freshly squeezed and was served from plastic dispensers. The pastries ( I had a pain au raisin) was like uncooked dough. I then took a blueberry muffin which for some reason was filled with buttercream. All in all a hugely overpriced breakfast that would have cost very little to produce. At over £40 per person I’m pleased it was included in the room rate which in itself was £372.54! The reception staff were pleasant on check in, however some of the dining room staff avoided eye contact and were not friendly at all. It lacked any personal touches. You would have got a more comfortable bed and better breakfast at a Premier Inn. I will not be visiting Bailey’s again.

Dear carolyn9368, Thank you for choosing to stay at Bailey's Hotel. Your feedback is important to us. I would like to address a few points: the beds in our rooms are from Hypno, and the cost of breakfast is £22.50 per person, not £40. We are dedicated to constantly enhancing our service. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Sincerely, Kim Tian General Manager

I recently spent 6 nights at the Bailey's in London. What a wonderful hotel! My room was comfortable, housekeeping was very efficient, and all staff that I interacted with were friendly, helpful and professional. The gentlemen at the concierge desk were extremely helpful as this was my first time in London and I had several questions about sightseeing and getting around by tube. It is located in a great neighborhood, walking distance to many things, and very close to the Gloucester Rd tube stop. I would definitely stay here again. (The Biscoff cookies/biscuits in the room were an added treat!)

This is my second and last time at this property We made a reservation for what they call Luxury Family room (2 adults and 2 children) Our first experience was ok with no luxury as described and little place to storage your clothes This second time became worse The front desk staff (a manager) tried his best, however this is a very old property poorly maintained and set in the most uncomfortable way against of any chance of enjoyment or use The first room assigned was big enough with a tiny bathroom Furnitures jaded, with scratches really dated The lighting was very poor making the room a real cave The heat (even after having a T person coming to the room) was set to a low temperature for winter Additionally we had several steps We requested a accessible room and this was a problem for my 77 years old friend The new room was really tiny If you seat to work in the desk a person coming from the tiny bath will bump you The shower is tiny and super uncomfortable for a decent shower The bath by itself is tiny and uncomfortable The safe box was originally placed in the floor (how do you use it?) of the closet It was moved to a shelve but left lose Any person accessing the room could take the safe with no problem This is a luxury family room that has no space for clothes and belongings One single closet half useless since it has an iron board but no iron and no space for storage No night table two side tables with no drawers We hear other rooms slamming their doors from our room what does not provide us with a quiet enjoyment in our stay The size of the room is so tiny and is not for 2 adults and 2 children nor luxury This room has a split AC also set to a maximum No way to put it warmer This hotel can't be rated as 4 stars A motel will deliver more comfort for sure

We had an amazing stay at The Bailey's Hotel. I made a mistake with my initial third-party online booking and Pawel at the front desk went above and beyond to fix the problem and arrange for interconnecting rooms. Once we arrived at the hotel, our rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, the beds were delightfully comfortable, and we appreciated the electric kettle, bottled water, instant coffee packets, creamer, and biscuits in the room, which made mornings on the go easy. Had great experiences in the restaurant and bar and loved being adjacent to the Gloucester metro stop. All around wonderful experience!

I had a great experience during my stay at the Bailey’s Hotel! The staff was very friendly upon arrival. Sumina checked me in and waived the early check-in fee because I arrived at 11 am after an early flight, so I was able to get settled in my room before heading out to make the most of the afternoon. The single room was small, but was perfect for a four-night stay with most of the day spent away from the room. There was some wear and tear and a bit of a smoke odor, but the room was still clean and the bed was so comfortable. There’s a small bathroom with shower, a mini fridge, iron/ironing board, and tea kettle and espresso machine. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel but there is a Pret, Tesco, Starbucks, and other food options across the street.
The location cannot be beat, walkable to Kensington Gardens and some museums, and just across the street from the Gloucester Road tube station, with Piccadilly and Circle/District line trains. Direct Piccadilly train from LHR and ~20 min from most major tourist stops in London! Highly recommend!!

Hi. I can confirm that the beds are Queen sized double beds. So, it wouldn't be a problem. I'm about 5"11" and I had no issues with it. My room was perfect for a couple so, I can't really comment about leftover space if it's a room with 2 double beds. But, I think you will be fine.
There are more places to choose from in the London area.
