Front desk wasn't able to resolve room issue when reservation team was not on duty. The operation manager made the matter worse by showing her horrendous attitude towards guests. Front desk don't communicate internally with reservation. New loyalty programme is a flop.

A great value hotel with really friendly service, ideal for visiting the museums on Cromwell Road. Directly opposite Gloucester Road tube station too so easy to hop on and off if you want to visit other attractions. Various coffee shops and restaurants close by for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

After requesting a change of room , so we could be nearer the lift, we ended up in a delightful room. Although we did not eat in, the staff were so helpful - especially the door man - Mr. Rutherford in the red bowler hat ! Only complaint was the volume of background music in bar restaurant area ........ but...

Unfortunately we only had one night in this fabulous hotel but we are sure to return and spend more leisure time within the hotel and the vicinity. Reception staff were very professional and helpful and we were offered an upgrade to a suite at an additional cost and it was definitely worth the extra. We stayed in room 414. Plenty...

My husband and I have visited this hotel a number of times in the last 10 years. In fact, we always stay there on London mini-breaks. The location is fab - right next door to the tube with good links to Heathrow and the city centre, and a short 5 minute walk to Kensington gardens and Kensington High Street. The...

This hotel is in a great location as it is opposite Gloucester Road Underground station. I received a warm welcome from reception before heading up to a nicely decorated & well laid out bedroom. This is not the largest room I have stayed in, however, it is well.laid out. Really appreciated the lights built into the headboard as they enabled...

I love the Bailey's in Kensington, and this time travelling alone I wasn't dissapointed with their single room (#402 rocks!) which was lovely. I can understand some guests will find the traffic noise from the street annoying but hey, it is London... I slept fine (with earplugs) in the great bed for many nights. The English gentleman at the door...

A very quiet and dainty hotel in the perfect location to feel like you're out of the city when you aren't. Friendly staff always ready to help with any issue. Comfortable, clean and gives off a sense of being at home.

We visited this Hotel for a city break for our Grandparents Christmas present. The Hotel itself is very grand and superior, very good bedroom size! The breakfast was outstanding with a very wide choice to choose from! There was free Wifi for guests which is common now however you didn't need to pay for better Wifi as it was good!...

We had a wonderful stay at the Bailey over Christmas holiday. The staff was so accommodating and helpful! The room was great and we enjoyed our nightcap in the bar! It was so convenient to the train and within walking distance of Hyde Park as well as other restaurants! We loved it and will stay there again!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
