We found The Mandeville Hotel to be an excellent hotel, in a great location! Rooms and service were excellent. We did not dine at the restaurant, but we did have drinks at the bar, which we found rather expensive given the small portions.

We recently stayed at this hotel and it was a major disappointment. Having paid nearly £300 for one night (without breakfast) I could not believe the poor quality of the first room they tried to put us in. It was so small you could not get out of the small double bed on both sides, one side was pushed directly... More

Nice hotel in an excellent location for Oxford St. and even better the Marylebone area. The room we had for £200/night was a telephone box compared to others we`ve stayed in so check the size before you confirm your booking. Also they obviously don`t want you to have breakfast at £22.50 each.

I had a very nice stay for fiver nights at this hotel, I would definitely stay again if I go to London, the location is very convenient and close to an underground station, the area is nice and there are great places to eat just next to the hotel.

Having been told by my friend about her noise experience the weekend before, I asked to be moved to a "quiet" room! I was given 704 which was clean, quite small but sufficient for a nights stay. However at approx 6ish the noise was horrendous with the bin lorries collecting bottles, went on for ages. Then the builders arrived, no... More

This was a leisure visit to London to meet a friend travelling in from Australia to take in the sights. Fantastically located very close to oxford St, the Wallace collection, etc and walkable distances to Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Marleybone and Hyde park. A lovely boutique hotel, beautifully appointed with a welcoming professional team. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate... More

We loved the location. Lots of restaurant choices and great shopping near by. Close to underground so easy to get around. Rooms were a little noisy at night from traffic on the street. Concierge at the hotel is excellent, as is the wait staff at the restaurant. Good breakfast.

Since I've been to the Mandeville in 2010 and still it is my best hotel in London. I've tried some other good 5 stars hotels, yet, still the Mandeville still my favorite and best hotel in London. The location is marvelous , just 4 minutes walk to Oxford street, walking across James street and Christopher Place which surrounded by loads... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
